OBAMA ASKS AMERICANS NOT TO FEAR A RETURN TO A DARK PAST

WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Saturday rejected any notion that the past week's stunning violence signals a return to racial brutality of a dark past, saying that as painful as the killings of police and black men were, "America is not as divided as some have suggested."

 

With five Dallas police officers dead at the hands of a sniper and two black men dead at the hands of police, Obama appealed to Americans not to be overwhelmed by fear of a return to 1960s-style chaos and to understand the progress that has been made in racial relations since that time.

 

"You're not seeing riots and you're not seeing police going after people who are protesting peacefully," he said. "You've seen almost uniformly peaceful protests and you've seen, uniformly, police handling those protests with professionalism."

 

Obama spoke at the conclusion of a NATO summit in Warsaw before leaving for Spain, part of a farewell trip to Europe he was cutting short by one day because of the developments at home.

 

The comments marked the third time in as many days that Obama has spoken, from a distance, about the police-involved fatal shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota that were followed by a sniper attack in Dallas that killed five police officers. Seven other officers and two civilians were also injured.

And now, 7 1/2 years into his administration, the damage has been done! The question is whether it is in any way reversible?

1. Healthcare: "Control Healthcare and you control the People.” DONE!!!

2. Poverty: “Increase the Poverty level as high as possible." Poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live. DONE!!!

3. Debt: “Increase the National Debt to an unsustainable level." That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty. DONE!!!

4. Gun Control: “Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government." That way you are able to create a Police State - total local control. ALMOST THERE!!!

5. Welfare:“Take control of every aspect of their lives" (Food, Livestock, Housing, and Income). DONE!!!

6. Education: “Take control of what people read & listen to, take control of what children learn in school.” ALMOST THERE!!!

7. Religion: “Remove faith in God from the Government and School.” ALMOST THERE!!!

8. Class Warfare: “Divide the people into the wealthy against the poor. Racial division also works. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with full support of the voting poor." DONE!!!

We live in a strange time. The president of the United States has made himself a cross between a spokesman of, and a counselor to, the racial arsonists of the Black Lives Matter crowd. He lies about the criminal justice system. At a time of national peril, Obama seems to have something other than the best interests of the United States in mind, and not just on matters racial.

By contrast, Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown strikes the perfect tone on the horror we have witnessed in Dallas. He speaks from the heart with humility. He makes cogent observations. His restraint enhances the power of his judgment. He refuses to be drawn into a discussion of policy that goes beyond the immediate tragedy in which he is called on to speak as a leader.
