WestVirginiaRebel
The Blaze: As theories of a potentially brokered GOP convention continue to make headlines, former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele says if the Republican Party tries to nominate Mitt Romney, “all hell’s gonna break loose.” In an interview with TheBlaze TV host Buck Sexton, Steele argued that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s supporters are “fervent” and will not come to the voting booth in November if the billionaire businessman does not get a fair shot at the GOP nomination. “Keep in mind that Trump has a fervent base, they have stuck with him through thick and thin, they continue to grow it and those folks stay with him,” Steele told Sexton. “If he’s not in play, they won’t play, and that could be a real problem for the party as a whole.” Though Steele has not endorsed anyone, he said GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio needs to drop out of the running if the Republican Party wants to stop Trump from capturing the nomination. ________ Trump's fans aside, who thought that trying to get Romney into the race was a good idea?
