Supreme leader: Iran won't again bargain with ‘Great Satan'

Iran’s supreme leader is vowing that Tehran will never negotiate with the U.S. following the historic nuclear agreement reached this summer, again calling the U.S. the “Great Satan.”

 

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that he also rejects the idea of greater warmth toward America.

 

“[iran] did not and will not hold talks with [the United States] on issues other than nuclear negotiations,” he said on Iran’s Press TV, according to CNN.

 

“I have not authorized negotiations and [we] will not hold talks with them,” Khamenei said of Iran’s future interactions with American leadership.

 

“We agreed to hold talks with America only on the nuclear issue and for particular reasons, and thank God, our negotiators did a good job,” the ayatollah added.
