A Harris County sheriff's deputy was ambushed and killed while refueling his cruiser Friday night at a northwest Harris County service station.

Early Saturday morning, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman identified the slain deputy as Darren Goforth, 47.

Officials with the sheriff's department said Goforth had driven to the Chevron station at Telge and West, after responding to a routine car accident about 30 minutes before. Scissors-32x32.pnglandscape_169.jpg

Sheriff’s deputy executed in Texas Update:Suspect in custody POSTED AT 8:31 AM ON AUGUST 29, 2015 BY JAZZ SHAW

See updates below.

A sheriff’s deputy in the Houston, Texas area was murdered execution style overnight in what a local district attorney is calling “an act of cowardice and brutality the likes of which I’ve never seen.” Deputy Darren H. Goforth, age 47, was a husband and father of two. Scissors-32x32.png

Police described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts and driving a red or maroon pickup-style truck with an extended cab.

I’m already seeing some frustration on social media in terms of the kid gloves approach that CNN and its competitors are taking in describing that situation. With that in mind, allow me to rewrite the introductory paragraph from the CNN coverage at the top of this article.

A black man shot a white uniformed sheriff’s deputy “execution-style” while he fueled his patrol car in the Houston area, killing him instantly, authorities said…

The black gunman walked up from behind him and opened fire for no apparent reason, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman said. Scissors-32x32.png

Obama, Holder and Sharpton comment on assassinated Texas sheriff's deputy Darren Goforth!

Of course that is an untruth as predictably, because the officer was white and the killer black, these three have nothing to say as it would do nothing to further any of their agenda's!

Disturbing Graffiti of Police Officer at Gunpoint Appears Around Houston

by Debra Heine September 1, 2015 - 11:11 pm

There have been eight police officers killed by gunfire in just the past month, 24 total killed since the beginning of the year, counting yesterday’s shooting death of Lieutenant Charles Joseph “Joe” Gliniewicz of the Fox Lake Police Department in Illinois.

Last week, two Louisiana officers were killed by gunfire in separate incidents, and two officers in Mississippi were shot to death during a traffic stop in May. Police all across the nation are understandably on edge.

Amidst this unsettling atmosphere, someone in the Houston area thought it would be a good idea to stencil some graffiti of a police officer with a gun to his head.

ABC News 13 reports that they’ve seen the anti-cop graffiti in at least four spots in the Washington Ave. area, and have gotten reports of more than that.Scissors-32x32.png

Today, the State of Texas Stands With Law Enforcement Officers

Posted by Kemberlee Kaye September 4, 2015 at 8:30am

Following the senseless murder of Harris County Sheriff Deputy Darren Goforth last Friday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a statewide call encouraging all Texans to stand with law enforcement officers today.

The state-wide show of support will take place beginning at 11:00 AM CST.

Governor Abbott’s office released the following statement earlier this week:

As Texas continues to mourn the loss of Harris County Sheriff Deputy Darren Goforth, Governor Greg Abbott today issued a statewide call to stand with law enforcement in Texas.

To honor Deputy Goforth and all officers across the state, Governor Abbott is asking Texas law enforcement officers turn on their red and blue flashing lights for one-minute at 11:00 a.m. this Friday – the time Deputy Goforth’s funeral is set to begin.
