Geee
Daily Caller: In a new USA Today op-ed, Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson slammed some of the tactics used by the Black Lives Matter movement as “lunacy,” while singling out a host of liberal institutions which he says are the black community’s “real sources of our hopelessness.” Carson singled out the entertainment industry — and the new hit movie “Straight Outta Compton” in particular — as one such institution. “The entertainment industry…lines its pockets by glamorizing a life where black men are thugs and our women are trash,” Carson writes. “It is time for them to pick on someone else because we have had enough.” “Demeaning women is not art, and it shouldn’t be profitable. Neither is glorifying violence and equating prison time with authenticity. Straight Out of Compton, #1 in movie theaters, is just the latest example. You only have to watch the trailers.”
nickydog
A good op-ed that only someone of Ben Carson's color could write, but will the people he is targeting read it or even know about it? Speaking of their education, could they read it even if they wanted to? sigh. What a mess.

Well, I don't know about that, but the youtube of the Black grandmother who's granddaughter was shot that cusses like a trooper at the BLM people has gotten lots of attention

Geee
The gospel of Ben Carson What's behind Ben Carson's appeal? Once Carson stepped off the primetime debate stage in Cleveland, Ohio, the retired neurosurgeon skyrocketed to second place in several surveys of GOP voters, including a national poll and others of early nominating states. Carson has made overtures to disenfranchised voters that other candidates may have looked past en route to his improved standing in the polls. Carson's grassroots supporters have an almost religious fervor, spreading their candidate's message like evangelists. Around the country, a super PAC supporting Ben Carson, the 2016 Committee, hands out the written word — books about Carson — and holds events where people can watch Gifted Hands, a theatrical depiction of Carson's medical career with Cuba Gooding Jr. playing a starring role. The language used by Carson's following sounds nearly messianic, which may largely stem from his work as a doctor. Mark Young, a doctor of physical medicine, counted Dr. Carson as a colleague at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the 1990s and describes the GOP presidential candidate as "someone who not only saved lives for a living but reached out to families, reached out to patients, and gave it his heart and his soul." http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/the-gospel-of-ben-carson/article/2570838
Draggingtree
September 1, 2015 You Wouldn't Think That #BlackLivesMatter Looking at the 2013 murder victimization rates extrapolated from the FBI UCR Expanded Homicide Data Table 6: 1. The murder rate for blacks is five times greater than that for whites. For whites is 1.2 per 100,000 while that of blacks is 6.0. 2. The rate for black on white homicides (13.6% of whites murdered in 2013 were killed by blacks) is almost double that of white on black (7.6%). This is for only those murders where the race of the offender is known to the police. As blacks comprise only 13% of the US population (roughly 41.2 million), these numbers are truly astounding. It gets worse as you drill down into the criminal activity of black youths. A 2012 study by the Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention revealed that in 2010 black youths committed six times more murders, three times more rapes, 10 times more robberies and three times more assaults than did their white counterparts. Story here, the 2012 DoJ study here. http://itdontmakesense.blogspot.com/2015/09/you-wouldnt-think-that-blacklivesmatter.html
