How President Obama Sold Out Charlie Hebdo

JANUARY 7, 2015 By Mollie Hemingway

Two years ago, a crude video against Islam was used as pretext by Islamists in various countries for riots and violence. Though that same video had nothing to do with the coordinated attack on U.S. outposts in Benghazi, resulting in the assassination of U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others, the administration claimed it did. The administration even rewrote talking points to blame an imaginary protest against the video as leading to those deaths.

Not long after, President Barack Obama spoke at the United Nations. Among good things he said, he also had this to say about people who mock Islam, such as the brave, now martyred, journalists at the satirical French publication Charlie Hebdo:Scissors-32x32.png

The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Scissors-32x32.png

Police hunting for three French nationals over Paris shooting
Jan. 7 2014

PARIS (Reuters) - Police are searching for two brothers from the Paris region and a man from the northeastern city of Reims, all French nationals, over Wednesday's shooting attack at satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo, a police official and government source said.

The three include two brothers aged 32 and 34 as well as a man aged 18, the government source told Reuters.

The police source said one of the brothers had previously been tried on terrorism charges. A huge manhunt was under way for the attackers - suspected Islamist militants who escaped after shooting dead some of France's top cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo, as well as two police officers.

The fact that they got away, means this was a well thought out and planned attack. They did not intend to die in the commission of this attack, which begs the question...what do they have planned next?

Part of the reason they got away....

“Three policemen had arrived on bikes but had to leave because the men were armed, obviously,” (the police were not)

Evidently carrying a gun is optional for the police force.

MUSLIMS ARE RIGHT TO BE ANGRY

January 7, 2015

Bill Donohue comments on the killing of 12 people at the Paris office of the newspaper Charlie Hebdo:

Killing in response to insult, no matter how gross, must be unequivocally condemned. That is why what happened in Paris cannot be tolerated. But neither should we tolerate the kind of intolerance that provoked this violent reaction.

Those who work at this newspaper have a long and disgusting record of going way beyond the mere lampooning of public figures, and this is especially true of their depictions of religious figures. For example, they have shown nuns masturbating and popes wearing condoms. They have also shown Muhammad in pornographic poses.

While some Muslims today object to any depiction of the Prophet, others do not. Moreover, visual representations of him are not proscribed by the Koran. What unites Muslims in their anger against Charlie Hebdo is the vulgar manner in which Muhammad has been portrayed. What they object to is being intentionally insulted over the course of many years. On this aspect, I am in total agreement with them.

French raid under way after 12 killed in magazine attack

Jan 7 2015

[PARIS] French anti-terror police launched a late-night raid in a northeastern city Wednesday in a frantic manhunt for masked gunmen who shouted "Allahu akbar" as they killed 12 people at a satirical weekly in Paris, sparking global outrage.

Local television showed black-clad sharpshooters from the elite police unit in the streets of Reims, in France's Champagne region, as unconfirmed media reports named three suspects in the attack, including two brothers.

Several thousand police were deployed to find the gunmen and parts of the French capital were in lockdown as the killers remained on the loose.

Some good news...maybe

1CNBC: Paris shooting suspect dead, 2 in custody

One suspect has been killed while the other two were taken into custody, a U.S. counter-terrorism official told NBC News. Earlier on Wednesday, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told media that security forces were hunting for three gunmen, who fled towards the eastern Paris suburbs after holding up a car.

Officials identified Frenchmen Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, brothers in their early 30s, as well as 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad, whose nationality was not immediately known, as suspects in the shooting, according to NBC News. Cherif Kouachi served 18 months in prison after a terrorism conviction for helping funnel fighter to Iraq's insurgency, NBC News reported.

An official who spoke on the condition of anonymity told the AP that the men were linked to a Yemeni terrorist network, according to NBC News.

Paris police officers have the option of carrying firearms, though many choose not to.

That just changed. I would make a large wager that everyone will be packing in the morning.

Appeasement Comes Back to Haunt France

It’s time that we finally admit it. The battle for Old Europe is over. The Gates of Vienna have finally been breached. Old Europe has been experiencing a tidal wave of violence and terror in recent years correlating to and in direct proportion with the growing influence of Muslims in the western part of the continent. Yesterday’s massacre in Paris by Muslims screaming “Allahuakbar” (what else?) represents a culmination of growing Muslim power and even dominance in France. Britain, Sweden, Belgium and the rest of the sorry lot are not too far behind. Today’s European Muslims have successfully accomplished what the Nazis could not accomplish in World War II. They have sown an irreversible dread into Europe and implanted a fascist-like Islamist seed that has taken firm root.

It is ironic that France has been the recent target of most of the violence. France of all the countries of Old Europe is one of Islam’s greatest appeasers. For all its official rhetoric, France has done precious little to stem the growing tide of Jew-hatred and anti-Israelism that has gripped that country. The sign of a sick and diseased country can be measured by its treatment of its Jews and by that paradigm, France’s condition is terminal. Mass emigration of French Jewry, prompted primarily by French Islamists, is met with muted response and inaction by French officials who appear either indifferent to their plight or at a loss to devise a coherent strategy to effectively deal with the phenomena.

Since the mid-1960s, the French, motivated partly out of greed, partly out of a need to needle the United States and partly out of genuine dislike for the Mideast’s only democracy, have done everything in their power to appease tyranny rather than fight it, to prop it up rather than obliterate it.Scissors-32x32.png

Paris Islamic Terror Suspect Had Prior Terrorism Conviction

After the horrifying Islamic terror attack in Paris yesterday, one suspect is in custody and the other two remain on the loose. Late last night the youngest suspect, Hamyd Mourad, turned himself into police. Brothers Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi remain at-large.

Authorities have been searching for 24 hours for the suspects, who are reportedly from Yemen. Officials have revealed that in 2008 Cherif Kouachi was convicted of acting as a foreign fighter trafficker and worked to get jihadists into Iraq to fight American soldiers. Kouachi was sentenced to 18 months in prison, but wasn't required to serve out term.

French officials continue their search today as government leaders from around the world express their support. The public has been asked to pay attention and to remain vigilant.Scissors-32x32.png

Sweet @Geee!

It is a terrifying cauldron that is bubbling over in France.

Since DISH removed FNC....we have few choices for factual news.

One that I watch on occasion, is Glenn Beck's, TheBlaze. He was talking today, about France & the political dimensions and mentioned that a full 4% of French Jews, have emigrated to Israel in the last couple of years. Muslims have taken over the suburbs of Paris in a ring like cordon...establishing "no-go" zones....that are choking off the city.

LaPen is European "far right," which is not the same as the American far right [rights & small government]....tending to fascism. The French government is socialist/communist....and LaPen came about as a lever to stand against same.

He related that LaPen is funded by Putin. We are essentially in the same situation as pre-WWII. Neo-Nazi's in Germany & LaPen in France. Multiculturalism has produced these sharply divided entities.....and all it may take is a financial crisis...which is already hanging over the world like the Sword of Damocles.

Yes I did, Sweet @Geee! .....and thank you!!!

I'm thinking about Michigan & "Dearbornistan."

Not too many mosques here in Colorado....although there are supposed to be some "compounds" somewhere. This used to be a bastion of polite conservative patriots...ready with a Western welcome.

Now it's a progressive multiculturalist's paradise.....

Police officer executed in the street, was a Muslim:

Third French Police Officer Killed As Terror Suspects Reportedly Spotted

http://washington.cbslocal.com/2015/01/08/third-french-police-officer-killed-as-terror-suspects-reportedly-spotted/

PARIS (CBS News/CBSDC/AP) — The manhunt for two men suspected in the massacre at a satirical newspaper’s Paris headquarters appeared to be honing in on its targets northeast of the French capital Thursday.

The two suspects – one a former pizza deliveryman who had a prior terror conviction and a fondness for rap – should be considered “armed and dangerous,” French police said in a bulletin.
By Thursday afternoon, authorities focused their search around the towns Villers-Cotterets and Crepy-en-Valois northeast of Paris, according to an official with the national gendarme service.
There were reports that the French-Algerian brothers, Cherif Kouachi, 32, and Said Kouachi, 34, wanted in the Charlie Hebdo attack, might have been traced to Crepy-en-Valois, but an Interior Ministry official denied the suspects were cornered there.
According to the Interior Ministry, 88,000 security forces have been deployed in the manhunt, including 50,000 policemen. Nine people were in custody and 90 witnesses have been interviewed, said French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.

Two police officers were among the dead in the Wednesday attack on Charlie Hebdo. The Independent reports that one of the officers killed, 42-year-old Ahmed Merabet, was Muslim. He is believed to be the officer who was executed in the street as he was pleading for his life.
