nickydog
The circus is in town and the Presidential primary/caucus have begun ( did they really end?) , oh what fun it will be! With apologies to Kurt Weill Well its a long long time from Jan 2015 to January 2016, and there will be many many opportunities for all the candidates to step up to the microphone and show we the great unwashed just what an idiot sounds like with one foot in their mouth and shooting themselves in the other foot. As the clown show begins I would like to remind people of 2 things to remember 1. Whoever wins the GOP nod will be (depending on who you talk to) either a moderate establishment squish who has no principles..ie a republicrat, and is not a REAL Conservative, George Washington Abraham Lincoln & Ronald Reagan on steroids, and will single handedly save the Republic. A hate fill racist who wants to poison all the water, cut down all the trees, keep women barefoot and pregnant , and bring forth the reincarnation of the 3rd Reich. 2. Head and shoulders better than whoever the Democratic Party nominates. So stock up on Zantax, Adult Beverages, Popcorn, remove your shoelaces and belt....ad enjoy the show. PS: There is much more to life than politics Good advice.

clearvision
Ebola Cases Drop Off in West Africa he number of new Ebola cases is starting to drop off in the three worst-hit West African countries, and Liberia has only reported 48 cases in the past three weeks, the World Health Organization reported Wednesday. Guinea and Liberia both reported the fewest new cases since August, WHO says in its latest daily look at Ebola statistics. Sierra Leone is still suffering badly, with 769 new cases over the past 21 days, but that's a decline in reported cases. "Sierra Leone has now reported a decline in case incidence for the second week running, and recorded its lowest weekly total of new confirmed cases since the week ending 31 August 2014," WHO said. Valin
Just now on Hugh Hewitts show Lindsey Graham said he was thinking about running for President. I mean if he wants to run...fine...have fun. But I have an equally good good chance of winning as he does. Someone really needs to tell him he has no chance to win. Audio Transcript (Snip) Hugh Hewitt: I know, but I want to begin by playing for you your colleague, Senator Chris Murphy was on with Rachel Maddow last night on MSNBC, and he had an assessment of why we’re in that war that I need your reaction to. Here’s Senator Murphy: Senator Chris Murphy: You know, I clearly think that you’re seeing a flow of foreign fighters back and forth into Syria and Iraq that’s presenting real problems and threats to our allies in Europe, and potentially here to the United States. But I think it is important just to recognize that the individuals who carried out these attacks in Paris were originally radicalized not by ISIS, but in coordination against the United States’ invasion and occupation of Iraq. That’s what initially brought them into this fight. And it’s worth repeating that those who would call for another insertion of U.S. ground troops to fight ISIS would be essentially repeating the very mistake that radicalized thousands of Muslims all across the country during our ten year occupation of that country. So I certainly think that ISIS poses a threat to the United States and to our allies. But we’re living with a decade-long mistake in Iraq that had radicalized thousands already, no matter whether or not ISIS was present in that region. (Snip) Senator Lindsey Graham: Well, all I can tell you is that I like Chris, but let’s go back and see if we can figure this puzzle out. We got attacked on September the 11th, 2001. We didn’t have one soldier, one ambassador or a dime of money going into Afghanistan. We got attacked by al Qaeda. All of these people pledge allegiance to al Qaeda in some form. So Chris is dead wrong. They want to attack us not because of anything we’ve done with the Palestinians, not because of anything we have done with Israel, not because of anything we have done in Iraq. They want to drive us out of the Middle East and attack our way of life, because we don’t fit into their worldview. And when a United States Senator doesn’t understand that al Qaeda is coming after us, and they started this process long before the invasion of Iraq, it really is bone-chilling. Apparently they want to gain control of the elections so they can set up an Islamic state. Or 150. Depends on who you're talking to. Actually I believe they want to set up a separate state from Nigeria, combining parts of Cameroon, Niger, Chad. Then of course controlling all of West Africa. Yes these are really really bad evil people, you could say with some justification worse than The Islamic State.

Valin
SHOCKING AND COMPLETELY SHOCKED. I had no clue that these zones are everywhere I ask in all seriousness - is this the result of European socialist government thinking ??? This is not the France we knew. Thinking? No No No. Its Feeling that matters. one man's opinion, freely given and worth almost that much After WWII 3 things happened in Europe 1. They needed workers, because huge numbers of working age male were dead, Germany looked to Turkey, France to North Africa England to South Asia. Europe unlike America is not good at integrating immigrants/minorities into the broader society (We're not all that great but we do it much better than others). The immigrants as they always do (see Little Italy) congregated into gettos these were large high rise hell holes, the immigrants were never forced/invited to join the broader society, because it was assumed they would leave when the rebuilding was done (what happens when you assume?). 2. The idea that nationalism was a very bad thing and was the cause of the 2 wars. So if this is true then there is no reason to bring these immigrants into society because who's to say we're better than they are...(ie. multiculturalism/ PC) So when they didn't leave the governments just give them money, not enough to thrive but just enough so they wouldn't starve and cause problems. 3. Combine points 1 & 2 with the decline of Christianity that had been going on for the last 100 years, and here we are in the wonderful world of European Socialism....Ain't it great? So we end up with a whole bunch of really pissed off (and rightly so) young men who see no future and look into the bright lights of (say) Paris and the fume. Now along come the MB/Saudi Imams telling them "We Have The Answer...Islam" Not the old tired Islam of your parents, but a new vibrant powerful Islam, that can give you everything you want...a meaning/purpose...power...money...revenge. It's a devils stew...the perfect storm of chaos. At least that's what I think @nickydog

Valin
@NCTexan ISIS=Boko Haram= Al Qaeda=Hamas=KKK, he's right. The various White Separatist/Power movements say nice things about these Islamic Terrorists...because of anti-semitism. The Lukid Party terrorists? Give Me A Break it's not 1944. After this things go rapidly into Leftwing Nutterville. I used to see this kind of thing at CGP when it was going. Some people for some strange reason can't get their brains around the sad fact that there are really really bad people out there, and you can't negociate with them. They are not interested in better education, better jobs, what does interest them is making you live the way they want you to live. I don't understand why they don't get it? Its not that hard to understand, I mean I get it, so it's got to be easy.

I don't agree with the string of equals... especially not in 2015. There are descending degrees of evil from ISIS to militant white power groups... and at a very steep descent. The descent increases and is absurd as the idiot take the "equals" to Tea Party and Likud... but in doesn't stop there... in their minds it extends to "conservatives", Evangelical Christians, members of TRR, and anyone who is not a progressive liberal. B The moral equivalency in his logic is laughable. Edited January 18, 2015 by righteousmomma
NCTexan
BTW... That's because starting in the late 50's white people decided these guys wanted to take the country in a direction that was not good. So today (no matter what the left thinks) these clowns are a joke...and a bad one....they are the type of people who see family reunions as a great place to meet chicks. I recall when David Duke was the GOP candidate for Governor the chairman of the La. GOP came out and told people to vote for the Democrat. This is what we need to see happen with Muslims, and IMO we are seeing the beginnings. Remember the Civil War ended in 1865, it took till 1965 before the friuts of that victory started to bloom.
