Radical Islam: The Monster in the Room

The religious thugs terrorizing the Middle East have only one goal: world domination.

Lee Habeeb and Mike Leven

It’s not the elephant in the room — it’s the monster in the room. Radical Islam is the monster, and it is on the march in the Middle East. And those who are suffering the most from radical Islam’s rise there are Muslims themselves, although Christians, Jews, and ethnic minorities of all kinds — gays too — don’t have it much better.

The pictures from Iraq are horrifying, as the world watches in real time radical Islam’s ruthless intentions; as we watch Muslims, Christians, and ethnic minorities stagger to safety under treacherous conditions near the Syrian border; as we watch ethnic cleansing in slow motion live on TV, the governments of the Western world beset by paralysis.

These bands of religious thugs have only one thing in mind: total domination. By whatever name they call themselves — Hamas, al-Qaeda, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, Muslim Brotherhood — these mobsters all want the same thing, and they play by a set of rules that even most mobsters abhor.

And yet way too many Left and Right refuse to acknowledge who the enemy is or what it will require to defeat them, and how long it will take.

Dutch Mayor Cancels Anti-ISIS Rally as "Too Provocative"
Abigail R. Esman
Aug 14, 2014

While Islamic State (IS) jihadists battle their way across Syria and Iraq, beheading soldiers and civilians, training children for jihad, their supporters across Europe demand "death to Jews" and call for the blood of infidels.

Now, it seems, some European leaders are refusing to fight back.

The situation has become especially controversial in the Dutch political capital of The Hague, where pro-IS protests in July involved anti-Jewish chants and a violent attack on a female journalist covering the event. As the Jew-hate worsened and violence intensified, witnesses and Jewish advocacy groups called on the mayor's office to step in. But Mayor Josias van Aartsen was on holiday; and his deputy, left in charge, found no reason to intervene.

Now, van Aartsen has been called back to The Hague to justify his response (or lack of one) just as yet another anti-IS, pro-freedom march is being planned in the Schilderswijk. But this one, he says, goes too far. "No more protests against radical Islam in the Schilderswijk," he declared on his return to The Hague on Thursday. "Too provocative."

Obamas War in Iraq Marks the Return of the Global War on Terror

Eli Lake

But then Benghazi happened, making it seem there was a closed-eye approach to the problem of jihadists. When a mob attacked the U.S. diplomatic mission and CIA station in Benghazi, Libya on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, the Obama administration at first was loath to even call it terrorism, referring to acts of terror in the general sense from a mob of unruly locals enraged by an Internet video.

When the Tsarnaev Brothers bombed the Boston Marathon last year, they were called lone wolf attackers, even though the brothers downloaded al Qaeda propaganda.

Most recently, the Islamic State has vowed to attack the West.

True, not all of these threats can be explained by the machinations of a global organization known as al Qaeda. They are, however, connected. Bin Laden, the Tsarnaevs, the fighters in ISIS, and the mob that attacked the U.S. mission in Benghazi didnt act in a vacuum. They are steeped in the literature and ideology of jihad and hatred of the Westand they are driven to act. Whether that translates into a coherent and consistent view of global jihad in each case is almost beside the point. (Indeed, that incoherence has led Muslims to suffer the most crazed violence at the hands of jihadists.)

Kurds Sending All-Female Units To Battle ISIS: “Jihadists Think If They’re Killed By A Female They Won’t Go To Heaven”… http://weaselzippers.us/196895-kurds-sending-all-female-units-to-battle-isis-jihadists-think-if-theyre-killed-by-a-female-they-wont-go-to-heaven/

Battle-hardened after two years fighting Islamic State and other Islamist rebel groups in the multi-sided Syrian civil war, Kurdish guerrillas linked to the PKK have in recent weeks made a series of military gains that have spotlighted their growing sway.

The Kurdish region of Syria was largely left to its own devices by the army of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, drawing accusations the PKK’s Syrian branch was in league with Damascus. PKK officials in Syria have denied those accusations.

Last week, the PKK’s Syrian-based units advanced into Iraq and punctured Islamic State lines to help tens of thousands of Yazidis escape an encircled Mount Sinjar. [...]

Syrian commanders say the security and quality of life is improving as their guerrilla forces expand rapidly, propelled by thousands of young volunteers.

Recruitment is boosted by the deployment of women soldiers on the front line, often in all-female units.

“The jihadists don’t like fighting women, because if they’re killed by a female, they think they won’t go to heaven,” said one female fighter.
