Uncle Arthur's Chantilly Fudge

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
• 2 cupssugar
• 3/4 cupheavy cream
• 1 cupmilk
• 2 tablespoonsKaro light corn syrup
• 1/2 teaspoonsalt
• 1 teaspoonvanilla
• 1 cup nuts
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan combine first 5 ingredients, and mix together.
Cook on med. heat to 238 degrees using a candy thermometer.
Take off stove, and add vanilla.
Beat with wooden spoon until creamy, and shiny.
Add nuts, and stir well.
Put in a buttered 11x7" pan.
Cut into squares.
Store in cookie tin or tupperware, and refrigerate, if you want to.
Note: Cooking time is approximate. Use a candy thermometer

I've tried many many times to make fudge like that since I was 10 yrs old, never ever had it turn out woth a hoot. Gave up when I was about 30, just use the marshmallow creme and choc chips
