Draggingtree
The Wall Street Journal: May 17, 2013 President Asterisk Why the Obama IRS scandal may be worse than "a cancer on the presidency." By JAMES TARANTO No one can deny that Barack Obama is a highly skilled politician, at least by the measure of election outcomes. His record is undefeated, save for an ill-advised 2000 primary challenge to an entrenched incumbent congressman. His 2008 presidential victory, after a fraction of a term in the U.S. Senate, was especially dazzling. It disproved those who said that Hillary Clinton was invincible, that a left-wing Democrat couldn't win, and that America wasn't ready for a black president. No one can deny that Lance Armstrong and Mark McGwire were highly skilled athletes. But their accomplishments are forever tainted by their use of banned performance-enhancing drugs. The use of the Internal Revenue Service's coercive power to suppress dissent against Obama is the political equivalent of steroids. The history books should record Obama's re-election with an asterisk to indicate that it was achieved with the help of illicit means. One thing we have learned from the IRS scandal is that sports journalists are morally superior to political journalists. Whereas the former understand that cheating is an assault on the basic integrity of the sport, the latter all too often treat it as if it were just part of the game. Draggingtree
Darrell Issa, John Boehner not “taking the bait” with current White House scandals. By: Moe Lane (Diary) | May 18th, 2013 at 11:00 AM (H/T: Hot Air Headlines) This is not going to end up being a windmill joust against Barack Obama. Much to the Democrats’ secret displeasure. GOP leaders will help coordinate various House investigations into controversies involving the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the State Department. “These are all different agencies of government. This administration owns the failures, but not necessarily the direct blame … we’re looking at each individual case so it’s very different than what you view historically as a target where it [was] always about President Clinton. This isn’t about President Obama,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told The Hill. The trick, of course, is to not over-focus on the man at the top. http://www.redstate.com/2013/05/18/barack-obama-john-boehner-darrell-issa-impeachment-scandals/

No disagreements with this column here. In fact it's pretty darn good. "Don’t get mad. Get even."...Works for me. A couple of points I would hope we on the right could take the word Impeachment put in a box, put the box in the back of the closet for say the next 50-60 years. veritaseequitas • 4 hours ago Ok. So the likelihood of Barack trying to install himself as dictator after his term is over is slim? That leaves Hillary, or maybe Lurch. The nation cannot stomach more years of left wing leadership. Look at us now after 4.something years. We are gasping for air. Not only do we need to reduce the size of government - particularly the IRS, but we also need to smear the left with enough of their own self made slime to make America realize that they are the party of disaster. That means making Barack, Hillary and all the others who are under their control look bad, as bad as possible. Multi-tasking is what is called for. This is the top rated comment from the comments section. If it strikes people as something from downtown right wight nutterville....very good, you win a cookie. While I do not question veritaseequitas passion, I do have some serious questions about his intelligence. I'm sure our "friends on the Left just love this kind of stuff. Talk about perpetuating the myth!
