Geee
American Spectator: When House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) released his FY 2013 budget — which passed the House of Representatives yesterday on a 221-207 vote — he must have known that he would face criticism from all sides, including the usual liberal big-spenders and the too-frequent conservative circular firing squad. And indeed he has. We have the usual and transparently ridiculous suggestion by Democrats that cutting the rate of growth of government spending to a still-high 3.4 percent will cause the deaths of thousands of Americans, or other less severe calamities. There are also critics on the right. The good people at Americans for Limited Government, call the Ryan budget “overhyped” because it does not cut spending fast enough. And AEI’s Jim Pethokoukis, one of the country’s smartest writers on economics, lists a variety of ways in which the Ryan plan “is far from ideal” — while calling for Ryan to be “unleashed” in order to “create a plan far bolder and more innovative.”

Ross is way behind the times or he is spinning....(Not that I disagree with his take.) Does Ryan’s budget really cut spending and debt too slowly? Geee
By the way, I was listening to a Wisconsin radio station while getting my hair cut the other day. They said that Scott Walker has a very favorable approval rating in Wisconsin - but so does Obama Pondering on this I came to the conclusion that Obama is getting credit in peoples minds for the progress that Walker has made in this state. This is probably the case with the other states with R governor that are bucking the trend and I believe are also the cause of the country showing signs of a slight turn around. His approval rating across the country has slid since his election, think of what it would be with out these states.

Tonight in church I learned that it was the coldest first day of spring since 1965. We are going on vacation to a warmer place in a few days, and none too soon. So I was reminded of this post, which I did one year ago, on March 16, 2012. We had a fabulously warm spring last year, and the Minneapolis Star Tribune published this photo of a young woman in a bikini cavorting in a local lake: That was then This is now

pollyannaish
@Valin I have a friend who happens to be liberal who thinks for the good of the country we should just have presidents elected to one six year term. Beyond that its just a waste. For once I'm not sure he is completely wrong.

Beyond that its just a waste. For once I'm not sure he is completely wrong. Two quick points A. After 3 years the president would be a lameduck. B. What if the voters liked what to President was doing? Also given it would require a Constitutional Amendment.....Good luck....pack a lunch.....and a change of underwear.
