Energy Policy: As he departs the Obama administration, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar leaves a sorry legacy: Under him, Interior became one of the most energy-unfriendly agencies in our nation's history.

If you're as angry as most Americans about the high cost of energy and want someone to blame, look no further than Salazar, who announced his resignation this week. With Obama, he removed major swaths of energy-rich U.S. land from production and exploration, costing the U.S. hundreds of billions of dollars.

As we've noted, President Obama entered office with gasoline prices at about $1.86 a gallon. Today, they're $3.28 a gallon, a 76% jump.

This was no accident. It was a plan. And Salazar played a leading role in bringing about this energy debacle, taking both federal lands and offshore energy resources offline and using scarcity to push up energy prices sharply, a much-beloved goal of the left.

As a federal report last year shows, oil output on federal lands fell 11% from 2010 to 2011, while natural gas dropped 6%. During the same time, oil output on private lands jumped 14% and natural gas surged 12%.Scissors-32x32.png

May the fleas from a thousand camels, infest his nether regions. May he seek help by pouring alcohol on the sore spots, and may static electricity make him light up like the beacon of crapola that he represents.

Other than that, have a nice day.....K-K-K-Ken!
