@clearvision...I think the parallel construction with all the profiles in the presentation is very clever. It personalizes the Obama statement. He wasn't talking about some uppity folks on Wall Street. He insulted regular Americans who give back more than they take—and worse, he did so to curry favor with people who take more than they give.

 

I think it is effective because it resonates intellectually and emotionally.
