We had travelled a long way together, from Belfast to Washington to Israel to London and ultimately to the suburbs of northern Virginia but it was clear his journey was over. Speaking from personal experience I believe they know when they are going to be put down. I know what you mean, I had to have my cat put down, boy...well That was a rough one.
