I was so inspired by the orange seated lunch counter...

... that I felt compelled to pay homage to my relatives who suffered under the yoke of "The Man".

serf.gif

For too long the suffering of the serf has been ignored by our country.

I have always feel the pain of my forefathers..I know that I have been held back in my career and by society in general because of this stigma of serfdom that I bear.

So with fear and trepidation, I now stand up and declare this National Serf Pride Month. I'm just not sure what to do next? unsure.png

@Rokke

That is not Valin! That's MY ancestor.

This just goes to show the insidious nature of racial stereotyping...

Those who don't look at us as individuals... but fall back on that old, "They all look alike to me."

Clint Eastwood Says 'I Am Certainly Not Politically Affiliated With Mr. Obama'

Scissors-32x32.png

The only Democrat he can remember voting for is Gray Davis when he was elected governor of California in 1998...“I’ve always been very liberal when it comes to people thinking for themselves,” said Eastwood, who supports gay marriage, abortion rights and environmental protection. “But I’m a big hawk on cutting the deficit. I was against the stimulus thing too. We shouldn’t be bailing out the banks and car companies. If a CEO can’t figure out how to make his company profitable, then he shouldn’t be the CEO.”

A friend sent this to me tonight just to "get my blood pressure up" and so not wanting to be selfish I will share with Valin (and OCTex but for different reasons)

Well, folks, here are some answers about the President's social

security number. Rather interesting.

An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose

Social Security number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean

Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890,emigrated to the United

States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425, Obama's current SSN,

in or about March of 1957.

Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut . Because of that,

his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few

reserved for Connecticut residents. Obama has never lived or worked in

that state. Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to

start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!

Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in

Hawaii , where he died. Conveniently, Obama's grandmother, Madelyn

Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu

Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased

individuals. The Social Security Administration was never informed of

Ludwig's death, and because he never received Social Security

benefits, there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions

were ever raised.

The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not

a U.S. citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a

citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured

the probate records until she found a deceased person who had not been

receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwig's

Connecticut SSN for Obama.

Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the

issue of Barry O's use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads

exploding, because they will have no way of defending Obama.

Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term

"natural born" there are few who do not understand that if you are

using someone else's SSN it is a clear indication of fraud.

Let's all start putting the word out to everybody on our mailing lists.

There's plenty of fraud in Obamaville to go around:

Two American brothers of a Mexican casino magnate who fled drug and fraud charges in the United States and has been seeking a pardon enabling him to return have emerged as major fund-raisers and donors for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

The casino owner, Juan Jose Rojas Cardona, known as Pepe, jumped bail in Iowa in 1994 and disappeared, and has since been linked to violence and corruption in Mexico. A State Department cable in 2009 said he was suspected of orchestrating the assassination of a business rival and making illegal campaign donations to Mexican officials.

When The New York Times asked the Obama campaign early Monday about the Cardonas, officials said they were unaware of the brother in Mexico. Later in the day, the campaign said it was refunding the money raised by the family, which totaled more than $200,000.

Two Coffees in Heaven!

From BillyBob at 6:10 PM

I got this email this morning and the sender requested I post it. Happy to oblige, here it is...

Having arrived at the Gates of Heaven,

Barrack Obama meets a man with a beard. 'Are you Mohamed?' he asks.

'No my son, I am St. Peter; Mohamed is higher up.'

Peter then points to a ladder that rises into the clouds.

Delighted that Mohamed should be higher than St. Peter,

Obama climbs the ladder in great strides,

climbs up through the clouds and comes into a room

where he meets another bearded man.

He asks again, 'Are you Mohamed?'

'Why no,' he answers, 'I am Moses;

Mohamed is higher still.'

Exhausted, but with a heart full of joy

he climbs the ladder yet again.

He discovers a larger room where he meets an

angelic looking man with a beard.

Full of hope, he asks again,

'Are you Mohamed?'

'No, I am Jesus, the Christ;

you will find Mohamed higher up.'

Mohamed higher than Jesus!

Man, oh man! Obama can hardly contain his

delight and climbs and climbs ever higher.

Once again, he reaches an even larger room

where he meets this truly magnificent looking man

with a silver white beard and once again repeats his question:

'Are you Mohamed?' he gasps as he is by now,

totally out of breath from all his climbing.

'No, my son, I am Almighty God, the Alpha and the Omega,

but you look exhausted.

Would you like a cup of coffee?'

Obama says, 'Yes please!'

As God looks behind him, he claps his hands and yells out:

'Hey, Mohamed, two coffees!'

Keep your trust in God;

your president is an idiot.

Obama: I'm getting 'better as time goes on'

(Snip)"What's frustrated people is that I've not been able to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.(Snip)

@Valin

There are two stupifying aspects to the above statement. The first (and most important) is that the president of the United States opposes The Constitution of the United States so openly.

The second is his choice of words saying, "Well, it turns out...." The most brilliant, perceptive and erudite man that we've ever had in the White House just learns what the Constitution says in the "last three years".

And then says he's surprised by it!

It's either that he didn't know anything about what the Constitution says when he made those promises... or it has been changed in that time.

Words have meaning... except when coming from the mouth of This Zero in Chief.

About every thing my friend forwards to me and others is a scam or hoax that I in turn have to write back and inform. Got to the point she stopped sending me stuff but lately has started again. This was the 4th Snopes exposed hoax of the week fowarded to me. I told her about Snopes several years ago but Snopes turned out to be 2 liberals so she discounts going there now.

From 2 different well meaning conservatives this week alone: Bill Cosby "I am old and tired" , call112 to get instant highway patrol help, faith based military speakers barred from speaking, and another missing child same old, same old.

Worse than "I read it on the internet" is.... "a friend forwarded this to me in an email".

And quoting "Snopes" as the bible is problematic.

Snopes.com is a web site discussing urban legends, Internet rumors, e-mail forwards, and other stories of uncertain or questionable origin.[2] It is a well known resource for validating and debunking such stories in American popular culture,[3] receiving 300,000 visits a day.[4]

Snopes is run by Barbara and David Mikkelson,[5] a California couple who met on the alt.folklore.urban newsgroup.[6] The site is organized by topic and includes a message board where stories and pictures of questionable veracity may be posted. The Mikkelsons founded the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society and were credited as the owners of the site until 2005.[7]

This is from the gold standard to truth and knowledge... wikipedia.

I could be wrong but I'm detection a hint of skepticism.

There is a woman on CPG that is constantly citing wikipedia as a source. Wikipedia, is a place to start, not a source.

In general, snopes is pretty accurate, imo. It's when it comes to political interpretation that it gets a little dicey and for the most part, they are pretty good about noting that in their answers. It is clear what side of the political spectrum they come from. They aren't wrong about the SSN. I think it's just like Wikipedia...a great place to start and if something doesn't quite seem right...keep looking.

And shoot me, but I find them funny.

As with any source, the most important thing one can do is not leave common sense at the door. But to throw out all sources as wrong because you want to believe something.

You do that long enough, and the black helicopters are gonna getcha.
