Pepper
You could have bought a Corvair: 1960 Car of the Year To show how we have brainwashed our youth, look at a comment in 2009 at the above link: Its really cool to see how cars have evolved during the decades. This car, though, still looks good. And as Sino52C says, I was impressed too with its mpg and with the fact that 0-60 wast'n a people interest at the moment. Casino67! IIRC, the Corvair was as ugly as the Edsel, you wouldn't be caught dead in one, you didn't give a *&%$ about gas costs, and 0-60 was important in the 60s. cudjo
Pepper -- the Corvair wasn't quite as ugly as the Ethel, I had a 62 Corvair, but they were really bad about oil leaks that no one seem able to fix. Carried a few cans of oil at all times
