Washington Post:

President Obama will head to Brazil for Friday for his first trip to South America as president, even as the federal government remains without a long-term funding agreement, unrest continues in the Middle East and Obama is being briefed frequently on the aftermath of the earthquake in Japan.

The trip is on,” said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney in a Tuesday briefing with reporters. “Economic growth in the United States is the president’s top priority and this trip is very focused on economic opportunities for the United States.”

The president repeatedly delayed a trip to India last year to focus on domestic issues, but White House officials said they were very likely to proceed with Obama’s long-planned South America visit.

He will also visit El Salvador and Chile in the week-long trip. :snip:

Gotta like the new Press Secretary's way with words.
I believe Obama is taking the whole family with him.

"Economic growth in the United States is the president’s top priority "

And actions speak louder than words.

Which is it, Mr. Obama? Golfing and vacationing or focusing like a laser beam on economic growth?

Party like a rockstar.

The president is tireless in his dedication to the work that matters: “President Barack Obama headlines a Democratic party event Wednesday night, the second time this week and fourth time this month he’s been the main attraction at a party gathering.” :snip:

Obama to “Thank” Harlem by Hosting $30,800-a-Person Fundraiser For Himself…

President Obama is headed to Harlem at the end of the month for a $30,800-per-head political cash bash.

Obama’s March 29 fundraiser at the Red Rooster Restaurant on Lenox Avenue will raise ducats for the Democratic National Committee.

The President will also attend an invitation-only, “Thank You Reception” at the Studio Museum on 125th Street, minus the DNC fundraising.

Has anyone been keeping track of the "Top Priorities" of this gang?

It seems to me everything is a top priority.

A list, probably partial, of Zero's "Top Priorities":

Southwest Border Security

Jobs

Healthcare

Free Trade

Energy Security

Education Reform

Student Loan Reform

Exports by Small Businesses

Health Assistance for 9/11 Responders

Ending Homelessness Among Veterans

Hurrican Preparedness

H1N1 Flu Vaccines

Support for Military Families

Strengthening Ties with Canada and Mexico

Consumer Protection

Environmental Protection

....and, of course, Economic Recovery

The dictionary defines "top" as a singular entity: "the part of anything that is first or foremost."

I think we'll all soon know the most expensive place to spend the night & dine in each South American country.....for them & the 400 people that are going with them....and all on the taxpayers credit card.

It's horrible to be President.......almost as bad as being "Worst Lady."

You left golf off your list. EVERYBODY knows that is Obambi's top priority. B)

Golf and generating an impressive list of taxpayer funded mega-vacations (surprised that this trip wasn't scheduled for Festivale)......yeah, I know. But I tried to limit the list to those "Top Prioities" that he has actually mentioned in his speeches.
