Japan is really advanced. They don't go to the beach, the beach comes to them.

I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, another will be floating by soon.

edit: Those are his quotes, not mine. ;)

Wow, he has real class

shoutGeee!

His previous claim was as the "el Primo" teller of a completely obscene joke, known throughout the world as, "The Aristocrats."

Gallows humor has always been around, and will always be around, because it's considered one of the outer limits of humor, as well as being protected by the 1st Amendment [think George Carlin-7 dirty words.]

While he is completely tasteless with these jokes; there are numerous comedians that are fist pumping now.

Aflac is a business & has every reason to terminate his contract....

I've sort of lost track of what Aflac really is, as I really only think of them as that duck....

The name sounds like an allergy medication. Maybe duck quacking is a reminder of nasal congestion.

They really have lost the focus of the advertising... Maybe this was providential for them since they may have already jumped the shark with the Gilbert and the Duck.

Only time I ever thought Gottfried was truly funny is when he played a VERY obnoxious character on the TV show WINGS with Tony Shaloub. He was hysterical.

Aflac is right to fire him, not because he said anything other comedians don't....but because he is the voice of an insurance company that better not be making light of a situation like this.

As far as the advertising goes...well, you don't really need to KNOW what AFLAC does because it is generally offered as gap insurance through your workplace. What they are going for is positive name recognition pure and simple. Much like drug companies, they are just plowing the field so that when the Doctor says "Cialis or Viagra?" you have an opinion. Its not like you're going to go buy this stuff yourself. Usually.

So what you're saying is...

When my doctor says that I need Viagra, I should scream "No, I want AFLAC!"?
