Casino67
Cubachi.com:I was surprised to see many people making a big deal over Rep. Michele Bachmann’s gaffe. What’s the gaffe? She mistakenly said the battles of Lexington and Concord were in New Hampshire, instead of Massachusetts.Via The Hill:“What I love about New Hampshire and what we have in common is our extreme love for liberty,” Bachmann told the audience. “You’re the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord.“And you put a marker in the ground and paid with the blood of your ancestors the very first price that had to be paid to make this the most magnificent nation that has ever arisen in the annals of man in 5,000 years of recorded history.”Lexington, where British troops skirmished with local militia on the town green, and Concord, where a group of farmers turned back the Redcoats at the famous Old North Bridge, are located in Massachusetts.Really, when we have a president who said there were over 57 states, that the people in Austrian speak “Austrian,” and asthmatic people use breathalyzers; and not to mention Vice President Joe Biden; liberals are going to make a big deal about this?People make mistakes when they give speeches. It happens.Bachmann took it in stride and admitted her mistake. Plus she made a joke out of it.Via her Facebook:So I misplaced the battles Concord and Lexington by saying they were in New Hampshire. It was my mistake, Massachusetts is where they happened. New Hampshire is where they are still proud of it!And by the way… That will be the last time I borrow President Obama’s tele-promoter!//End//
