President of China?

Weekly Standard:

“Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, ‘No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.’”

“Obama Seeks a Course of Pragmatism in the Middle East,” The New York Times, March 11, 2011.

Mr. Obama is right.

If you’re president of China, people around the world who are fighting for freedom don’t really expect you to help. If you’re president of China, you don’t have to put up with annoying off-year congressional elections, and then negotiate your budget with a bunch of gun-and-religion-clinging congressmen and senators. If you’re president of China, you can fund your national public radio to your heart’s content. And if you’re president of China, when you host a conference on bullying in schools, people take you seriously.

Unfortunately for him and us, Barack Obama is president of the United States. That job brings with it certain special responsibilities. It’s a tough job—maybe tougher than being president of China. But Barack Obama ran for president of the United States. Maybe he should start behaving as one.

I heard about this column from TammyBruce.com on the radio. Can you believe this pile of chit is OUR president? If he isn't replaced in 2012--or impeached earlier--there will be mass suicide if he is reelected. I wonder if the Secret Service is over-worked lately?

Ooops. It is Kristol

Un-freakin' believable.

And now that everything is sort of quiet in the world, DB is off to South America with his family. Supposed to be meeting with leaders in several countries, but any of us would call it a vacay.

"Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China."

Where is this actually quoted from Obama?

The quote is from a NYT article: Link

The line is actually in the last paragraph of the article.

Obama has been whining about how hard the job is... what a mess Bush left him to clean up... how other countries around the world keep bringing difficult situations to the table... how the weather has made things unusually difficult for him and more complex... etc. etc. etc.

He acts like he was kidnapped and taken to the White House... and forced to execute this man killer of a job of president.

In addition, most of these facts were nefariously hidden from him. Otherwise he would have struggled harder when the hostage takers came to his elite Chicago residence.

One day a happy-go-lucky street organizer and now thrown into this living hell... "A modern day lynching!"

Thanks, but this is the only thing I see from NYT:

Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China.

That's different than coming from the horse's mouth.

But if you can't believe the NYTimes about oBAMA... who can you believe?

And BTW, I think that you described him using the wrong end of the horse. B)

Well, I can't find an actual quote from Zero. I do, however remember the MSM screaming when Dubya made the crack "This would be easier if this was a dictatorship......as long as I'm the dictator". Ovomit reportedly makes a similar comment and all you can hear are the crickets.
