Drug Cartel Behind Arizona Beheading

Last October a man was stabbed repeatedly and then grotesquely beheaded in Chandler, AZ, and now police say that an enforcement crew for a Mexican drug cartel was behind the mutilation killing in retaliation for a drug theft as reported by Laurie Merrill for The Arizona Republic.

Although President Obama insists that there is no evidence of drug-related spill over violence from Mexico, the facts on the ground continue to belie his assertions. Indeed, "the U.S. has seen extensive cross-border violence tied to drug trafficking" as reported by The Associated Press: "In one example from 2009, members of a group of Mexican drug traffickers were indicted in the murders of nine people in the San Diego area — including two victims whose bodies were dissolved in acid."
