Sabre86
Fox News:WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration says it will no longer defend the constitutionality of a federal law that bans recognition of same-sex marriage. In a statement Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder says President Obama has concluded that the administration can no longer defend the federal law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman. The Justice Department had defended the Defense of Marriage Act in court until now.*******************A setup for forcing fag "marriage" on the nation by judicial fiat to be followed up by the outlawing and criminalization of Christianity. Sabre86
Obama will only enforce or defend the laws he agrees with, just like with immigration, or civil rights.

Argyle58
So much for the theory that Zero will govern from the center in the face of the rejection of his liberal policies by the electorate.
Pepper
"President Obama has decided that the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional and has asked his Justice Department to stop defending it in court, the administration announced today. “The President believes that DOMA is unconstitutional. They are no longer going to be defending the cases in the 1st and 2nd circuits,” a person briefed on the decision said." FROM HOTAIR Ed Morrissey Sooooooo …. when did the Constitutional Scholar in Chief come to this conclusion? Barack Obama has been in office for two years (having run on the promise to repeal DOMA), and during his entire term, the DoJ defended DOMA’s constitutionality. Now Obama is apparently saying he was wrong all along.
Pepper
DOMA is the law and must be defended by the Justice Department. Rush Limbaugh: "Obama cannot determine the constitutionality of this. They cannot do legally what they are doing."
Pepper
From Saul Alinsky's play book, coach of Obama: "'The organizer's first job is to create the issues or problems,' and 'organizations must be based on many issues.' The organizer 'must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.'" A+ for Obama on all of this.

They cannot do legally what they are doing." That hasn't stopped them from ignoring the lifting of the ban on offshore drilling in the Gulf, even after the court found them in contempt. The Obambi administration is picking and choosing which laws it wants to follow. I suppose it'll be the same when US Marshals have to drag him out of the Oval Office in January, 2013. Saltbag
We know zero could care less about law and the Constitution. That's one man, who is sadly the POTUS. The fact that this is not a "WTF" moment for the checks and balances of the other gov't branches is much more disheartening.
SrWoodchuck
We know zero could care less about law and the Constitution. That's one man, who is sadly the POTUS. The fact that this is not a "WTF" moment for the checks and balances of the other gov't branches is much more disheartening. I'm hoping that using the House & defunding the immense progressive government he's established through the Executive, will have an effect. "O's" thesis at Harvard [still under lock & key?] must have been: The American Constitution - "A Deconstruction." His specialty seems to be to destroy the fabric of American life, by a thousand cuts. His Ideal: Americans will one day be an homogeneous group of LGBT union members, facing & bowing to DC for their gruel & tithing an ever larger part of their pay to the Church of Socialism, New World Order.
