ErnstBlofeld
The News Journal:Christine O'Donnell pledged to keep fighting after losing her Senate bid. She may make good on that pledge, but not exactly as she planned.Campaign finance complaints the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and the Delaware Republican Party filed in September are still pending against O'Donnell, who lost to Democrat Chris Coons on Nov. 2.Federal prosecutors in Delaware are reviewing CREW's complaint that O'Donnell used campaign contributions for personal living expenses, said Kim Reeves, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for Delaware. She declined to comment on the status of the review."It is under review, as all complaints that come in to the district are," she said.CREW and the state GOP also filed complaints against O'Donnell with the Federal Election Commission.State and national Republican party officials initially opposed O'Donnell's candidacy because she was seen as a less effective general-election candidate than U.S. Rep. Mike Castle, the state convention-endorsed candidate who lost to O'Donnell in a stunning upset in the GOP primary
Sabre86
The Delaware Republican Party is worthless. If you can't help the candidate chosen by the people, then just stand quietly on the sidelines and especially don't actively work to make sure the Democrats win. As for CREW, its just another Democrat/Soros front group.
ErnstBlofeld
It is always fishy when you go through 5 campaign treasurers in a single campaign.Makes you wonder what in the hell is she doing with the money.
Stella
This was known all during her campaign. She had no other financial sources except through her campaign. She so obviously was not vetted by Palin and the Express. She held herself up to be better morally than her candidate. That's always a path to a big downfall. I must say it's hard to believe she did break any rules since she was public about doing all of this.
