Casino67
MASH Improv News Release:Locked up for Too Many Years,Queenie Looks for a Home(Phoenix, AZ) It’s been way too long that ten year old Queenie, the Sheriff’s Office mascot for the MASH unit, has been longing for someone to love her – someone other than the dozens of inmates who have cared for her since the old downtown FirstAvenue Jail became her home.Queenie is a 70 pound mixed breed bundle of love who was the victim of yet another animal neglect case. Unlike Queenie, however, her abuser spent only a few hours incarcerated for his crime. Queenie has been in jail for nearly eight years.Things may be looking up for Queenie as she is now slated to be the honored canine master of ceremonies over the third annual Comedy Night at the Improv in Tempe(930 East University) at 7:30PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, a charity event to benefit the Sheriff’s Maricopa Animal Cruelty Safehaven. She has spent hours being groomed and primped and all dolled up by her inmates buddies for the starring role in a video presentation about her life. That video will air before the event’s live audience. Queenie, who won’t be allowed inside the event because food is being served, will be waiting patiently outside hoping someone with a big heart and a little room at home will stand up that evening and say…”Queenie, come.”//End//
