NAACP: Tea party gives platform to 'racists'

The NAACP is accusing the tea party movement of providing a platform for “anti-Semites, racists and bigots.”

“The Tea Party movement has unleashed a still inchoate political movement who are in their numerical majority, angry middle-class white people who believe their country, their nation, has been taken from them,” reads the report, posted Wednesday on a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People-sponsored website, Tea Party Nationalism.

The movement is “permeated with concerns about race,” the report finds, and has “given platform to anti-Semites, racists and bigots.”

NAACP commissioned Leonard Zeskind and Devin Burghart of the Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights to write the study. The website seemed to be struggling to handle traffic was crashing frequently early Wednesday afternoon.

The report includes numerous pictures of signs at tea party rallies using racial rhetoric. It also uses maps and other data to show the growth of the movement – though one map cites Wikipedia as its source of information.

The civil rights group and tea party organizers have been in frequent conflict since NAACP condemned the conservative movement as “racist” in a resolution passed in July.

Somehow the left engages in the same thing - when all else fails, call the other side rrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaacist and run for help to the race baiters.

We owe a great favor to Mike Godwin. Those of us who have spent any amount of time arguing nonsense on the Internet are familiar with Godwins Law. Briefly, Godwins Law states: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches … given enough time, all discussions —regardless of topic or scope —inevitably wind up being about Hitler and the Nazis.”

 

The most wonderful aspect of Godwin is that “there is a tradition in many newsgroups, and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically ‘lost’ whatever debate was in progress.”

This morning I had the opportunity to listen to a NAACP conference call that was organized to release its report highlighting alleged (yet unproven) Tea Party ties to racist groups. This conference call, report, and website reminded me very much of the quote from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, “A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

 

What was reiterated on the call by the NAACP and it’s minion of “progressive” allies was the same old, unproven, nonsensical charges against the strongest modern grass-roots movement in decades.

Thanks, but you must realize that people of color cannot be racist, since only they have experienced institutional racism.

 

It's part of the NAACP DNA, OK?

 

It allows them total freedom to label, intimidate, reprimand & extort whatever reparations are due; from the last few centuries of abuse.

 

Unfortunately, no price will be enough and no penance, deserved or not, will allow 'forgiveness'....because it's not forgiveness and reconciliation that is intended. This is "institutionalized racism" in reality, and they intend to work it as a career & a vocation.
