ErnstBlofeld
UPI: Boosting its defense artillery, India has successfully launched a surface-to-surface supersonic missile, government and defense officials said. The successful launch also marked a world record: the first missile to be tested in supersonic speed in steep-dive mode. The BrahMos surface-to-surface missile was fired off the eastern coast of the country, 125 miles northeast of the capital of Orissa state, Defense Ministry officials told local media. "The test of surface-to-surface version of BrahMos was successful and matched all the mission objectives," S.P. Dash, director of the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur-on-sea, said.
