Geee
Washington Examiner:Democrats better think twice about lame ducking the rest of the Obama agendaBy: MARK TAPSCOTTEditorial Page Editor09/08/10 11:47 AM EDTThere was a spate of news stories several weeks ago in which top Democratic congressional leaders, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, hinted at a plan to bring Congress back for a lame duck session if Republicans regain power in either or both chambers in November. The purpose would be to pass as much of what remains of the Obama agenda during the lame duck session, then challenge the incoming Republican majority to undo it.But based on the latest results of a Rasmussen Reports national survey on the question, Pelosi and the rest of the national Democratic leadership probably should re-think that one. Sixty three percent of those responding to the Rasmussen query said they oppose passing new legislation during a lame duck session, while only 27 percent favor such action.
