She certainly has them on the run. At the National Mall rally on Saturday, Sarah Palin delivered an eloquent and moving tribute to servicemen and a nonpartisan call to restore — not transform — America. The complete text should be read in full. (If you are not moved to tears by the stories of three heroic military men, you have a heart of stone.)

I admit that I had some serious reservations about the Glenn Beck rally. To put it mildly, I’m no fan of Beck’s, and his rhetoric has given liberals plenty of fodder to paint the right as extreme and incendiary. But both he and certainly Palin conducted themselves well — sticking to general themes of faith and service. That the media could not find a single controversial statement is a tribute to the good judgment and restraint that was exercised.

Meanwhile, Palin clearly has the left in a tizzy. They have finally gotten it: she is redefining feminism. In the New York Times, two liberal feminists exhibit more than a little anxiety over the Palin juggernaut. To put it bluntly, they have Palin envy:

In the 24 months since her appearance onstage in Dayton, Ohio, Ms. Palin has enthralled pundits and journalists who devote countless television hours and column inches to her every Twitter message and Facebook update, while provoking outrage and exasperation from the left. …

The left should be outraged and exasperated by all this — but at their own failings as much as Ms. Palin’s ascension. Since the 2008 election, progressive leaders have done little to address the obvious national appetite for female leadership. And despite (or because of) their continuing obsession with Ms. Palin, they have done nothing to stop an anti-choice, pro-abstinence, socialist-bashing Tea Party enthusiast from becoming the 21st century symbol of American women in politics.

Palin better look out, because the RATS and LSM are going to after her even harder, because liberal feminazis and pols(like 'The Wicked Witch of the West Wing') are scared to death of her.

One of the things I admire about her is that the harder she's punched, the swifter she recovers and the more inspirational it is. I dare say she's ready for them.

She's got much better advisors now than the McCain crew in '08(who threw her under the bus), and she's also gotten a lot tougher. Unfortunately, her resignation as Governor of Alaska last year will be a hammering point not only for the RATS, but other GOP opponents if she does jump in the primaries in 2012.

I think she IS her advisor. I also think she is a quick learner who seeks out the advice and opinion of people she respects in specific areas she wants to become more versed in.

I have a feeling she will not run in 2012, but maybe. If she does, she will need to be prepared to answer the questions about her resignation. I have a feeling though, that her resignation was the end of her direct political career. She has far more power to influence and change now, then she did then.

I'll apologize in advance for this comparison...but MLK Jr. was a much more powerful leader without being in political office than he would ever have been actually in office. While Palin's influence is not about race and more about small, common sense government, I believe she is the same sort of political figure as MLK Jr.

I also think she's done as an elected politician, but she is going to be a huge mover, shaker, and fundraiser for other GOP candidates in the future. Next to Nixon and Dubya, I've never seen such hatred by the RATS and LSM for a conservative pol as they have for her. That only makes her more popular with the GOP voters(despite the RNC clowns in Washington who may fear her as much as the left does).

If she does run for POTUS, she should wait for '16 or '20, depending on what happens with Obambi in 2 years, because I think she'd lose. Building chits with GOP pols and voters will greatly enhance her strenght if does decide to run. Nixon spent 8 years in the political wilderness before coming back, and he came back with a vengeance! ;)

Here is my two cents. I would think her running will depend on who the other candidates are. I would hate for us to put up some old man because the party thought he was 'next in line'. As for the media going after her, didn't they treat Reagan as bad as they could? Haven't the media castigated ALL of our candidates? Journolista's are disbanded now.

Sarah Palin has taken the best they could dredge up and she is still the strongest representative of what we all want in Washington. Could she beat Urkel? Who knows? But she would sure do better than Huck or Tim or Mitt IMO. If she could pick a strong leader for VP, who knows how she would do. Two leaders on one ticket sounds good. As you can probably tell I am a bit biased, but I really don't see anyone on our horizon better than her.
