The New York Times has published a few photos from Chelsea Clinton’s wedding to Marc Mezvinsky, held this evening at a private ceremony in Rhinebeck, New York. The details of the wedding have been subject to much speculation — including the make of Chelsea’s wedding dress! — as well as confirmed attendees (ferried to the event on shuttle buses with tinted windows) and the estimated cost of the lavish affair.

A few photos from the event were released to select media outlets, including the Times, as well as the Washington Post and Politico, showing a smiling Chelsea with Mezvinsky, Secretary of State Clinton radiant in fuschia, and a very slim-looking President Bill Clinton walking his daughter down the aisle.

The wedding took place in Astor Courts, which had been declared a "no-fly" zone with hundreds of security personnel blocking all roads leading to the venue.

The 30-year-old bride wore a gown designed by Vera Wang whereas mother of the bride wore Oscar de la Renta.

Rabbi James Ponet and the Reverend William Shillady conducted the interfaith ceremony.

Clinton is Methodist, and Mezvinsky is Jewish.

Their wedding, therefore, included elements from both traditions: friends and family reading the Seven Blessings, which are typically recited at traditional Jewish weddings following the vows and exchange of rings.

A couple's friend read the poem "The Life That I Have" by Leo Marks.

Many of the guests were friends of the bride and groom from college and work.

“Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.” former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, via HuffPo:

The Scoop on Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding Gown — And What Bill and Hillary Wore

The months of speculation on whom Chelsea Clinton would choose to design her wedding dress are finally over — and it’s Vera Wang! The bride walked down the aisle on Saturday night in a strapless silk organza gown with a draped tulle bodice and an embellished belt designed by Wang, a Clinton family friend. The star-loved designer, a guest at the wedding in Rhinebeck, N.Y. this weekend, also designed the bridesmaids’ dresses. Another good friend of the couples’, Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey, designed groom Marc Mezvinsky’s tuxedo as well as ties for the groomsmen and the father of the bride, former President Bill Clinton. As for the mother of the bride, who was the picture of glamour at the previous night’s rehearsal dinner, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton chose a gown designed by her go-to designer and long-time friend Oscar de la Rent

I still haven't seen any pictures of the Mother of the Groom. Way back when we lived in the metro NY area and I enjoyed her reporting. Haven't seen a pic of her in years. The groom has many siblings, biological and adopted. There were lots of stories about them when they were little.

Chelsea's dress is very pretty.

Ya know, if more people had choppers like that, the unemployed could get some gum-mint loans to go to dental school.

I was wondering the same thing, where are the groom's parents? Haven't cared much about the wedding but the pics I have seen are just Clinton heavy. Why was BJ wearing a black suit and tie? Looked very funereal.
