Pro-Palestinian groups are up in arms over "last-minute" restrictions imposed by the Metropolitan Police ahead of Saturday’s national demonstration. They claim the measures, including a delayed start time, are an attack on their democratic rights.

London has seen regular pro-Palestinian protests, attended by tens of thousands, since the war on Gaza began last October. But tensions are set to rise this Saturday, as protesters plan to march to the Israeli embassy in Kensington for the first time.

Peter Cardwell speaks with former Met detective for Scotland Yard, Peter Bleksley and former Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Manuel Hassassian.
