Valin
Vandals target St. Paul crisis pregnancy center Vandals broke windows and spray-painted "Jesus Loves Abortion," "Blood on Your Hands," and "Janes Revenge" on the building. Sheila Qualls July 6, 2022 Vandals spray-painted "Jesus loves abortion" on a crisis pregnancy center. (Photo courtesy of Birthright of St. Paul) Birthright, a crisis pregnancy center that offers alternatives to abortion, was vandalized in St. Paul Monday night. Monday was the seventh time the center has been targeted in the past five years. Vandals broke windows and spray-painted “Jesus Loves Abortion,” “Blood on Your Hands,” and “Janes Revenge” on the building. Jane’s Revenge is an abortion rights group that has taken responsibility for vandalizing pregnancy centers since the Roe V. Wade draft was leaked in May. The group is believed to be responsible for a similar attack on Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life in Minneapolis last month. “We are a non-political, all volunteer-run organization whose purpose is to provide positive alternatives to abortion,” said Karen McCann, a center volunteer. “Those who favor abortion don’t like the good work we are doing to support families and women in need who want to give their precious children the beautiful gift of life.” (Snip)

Pafoua Yang July 30, 2022 The Northfield Women's Center was tagged with "Fake Clinic ACAB Not Safe." (Teresa Edwards) A Northfield crisis pregnancy center was attacked last Monday night between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., according to the executive director at Northfield Women’s Center. Executive Director Teresa Edwards told Alpha News the front of the building was tagged with “Fake Clinic ACAB Not Safe.” ACAB is an acronym for “all cops are bastards.” “The front of the center was bashed in,” Edwards said. “Although it appears it was hit with something and nothing was actually thrown through the window.” She said they’re still cleaning up shattered glass. Some lamps near a window were tipped over and items in the office were thrown across the room. Edwards said this is the first time the center has been attacked and the culprit is still unknown. (Photo courtesy of Abria) This is the fourth attack on a pro-life group in Minnesota since June. Birthright, Northfield Women’s Center, and Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life have all faced similar attacks this summer. Nationally, the attacks on pro-life groups began in early May when a draft opinion of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was leaked to the media. The court’s decision in the case struck down Roe v. Wade, a 1973 Supreme Court case granting federal protections for abortion. According to the Catholic News Agency, at least 87 pro-life groups across the nation have been targeted with vandalism, threats, theft, and arson this summer.
