Planned Parenthood and abortion activists took over the Wisconsin state Capitol building on Wednesday, as the GOP was set to uphold a pro-life law that will take effect if the Roe v. Wade decision is overturned.

Governor Tony Evers (D-WI) signed an executive order this month calling for the special session to repeal a 173 year-old ban on abortion, The Cap Times reported, noting, “While the governor has the authority to call lawmakers into a special session, lawmakers are not obligated to take action on any bills.”

“Whose choice? Our choice!” dozens, if not hundreds of protesters chanted inside the Capitol rotunda, protesting the GOP’s expected refusal to overturn the ban.* “If we don’t get it, shut it down! If we don’t get it, shut it down! If we don’t get it, shut it down!”

This is news to me as I continue to ignore broadcast news, local as well as National. However, is this not Insurrection? And not the first time, I might add. They took over the capital when Walker was elected and did over a million dollars worth of damage - but it was no big deal(sarc). After all it was for the proper cause and the ends justifies the means.

@Geee

There a case when many years ago the Mn. State Government shut down for a week. There was NO RUSH HOUR. People thought the shut down was Great. It took a couple of days before the DFL realized the shut down was not working out quite like they thought it would.
