Veritas announced today that it would be filing a motion that outlines how the DOJ's actions violated the Privacy Protection Act and the Fourth Amendment, in addition to the First Amendment and Common Law Reporter’s Privilege.

Project Veritas' lawyer Paul Calli said that the government acted inappropriately and in violation of the mentioned laws.

Remember when they discovered Hoover spied on some people so they reassembled the FBI? Now we've got so many spy departments that nobody knows who does what and they spy on whoever for years now and no repercussions. KGB America.

White House, IRS, CDC, and many other US government websites sending data to Big Tech via Google tracking code

Page views, locations, device details, and more are being tracked.

Tom Parker

Apr. 13 2022

Most of the major US federal government websites and numerous state and local government websites are sending real-time surveillance data back to Google as users browse their websites. Even websites where users are submitting sensitive or personal information, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI’s) tips page and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website, contain tracking code that sends real-time visitor data back to Google.

Most of these government websites contain tracking code from the web traffic analytics tool Google Analytics. This code collects detailed user data which is sent to Google’s servers, analyzed, and presented to website owners via an online dashboard.

Google Analytics automatically collects data on the pages visited, the time and duration of each visit, and other visitor data (such as the device, browser, operating system, and screen resolution of visitors). It can also be configured to collect data on more specific actions such as when users click or tap specific links, download content, or fill out forms.

DOJ accused of massive overreach, assault on press freedom in Project Veritas probe

The FBI and the Justice Department have overreached their authority and violated the First Amendment by secretly surveilling a media organization critical of the Biden administration, according to a journalist who's been the target of a sweeping government probe

In March, Project Veritas was notified by Microsoft, its electronic communications service provider, that for over a year the government had been secretly seizing and reviewing the media organization's emails and other electronic information through sweeping search warrants under non-disclosure orders, according to a motion filed by Paul Calli, the lawyer for Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe.

Microsoft was able to notify Project Veritas of this surveillance only because the Big Tech firm's attorneys resisted government efforts to renew non-disclosure orders and told federal prosecutors that Microsoft would pursue litigation to disclose these matters, the court filing shows.

The government attempted to keep the electronic surveillance orders under wraps even after its investigation became public knowledge and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York appointed a special master to supervise federal prosecutors' access to Project Veritas' materials.:snip:
