Freethought has always existed and will always exist, the important thing is to live your life fully as you want and not harm the lives of other people, not harm the lives of animals or the environment.

Part 2: Just How Big Was the Operation Led by the LGBTQ Couple Who Abused Their Adopted Sons?

Townhall has learned that seven years prior to the adoption, Zachary was accused of being a child rapist, but was never charged.

More than a decade ago, there was a 2011 probe into Zachary's alleged pedophilic behavior when he was accused of luring a 14-year-old boy to a residence in Walton County, the same jurisdiction as today's horrifying child sexual abuse case, and having anal sex with the underage victim. But, the 2011 child rape case was shut down and no charges were pursued against Zachary.

Alcovy Judicial Circuit District Attorney Randy McGinley, who serves Walton County, has now formally asked the Walton County Sheriff's Office to continue its previous probe because he believes "it was closed without a whole lot of investigation into it."

"The 2011 case is being looked into by my office along with the Sheriff's Office," McGinley confirmed in an email to Townhall.

Lt. Zachary Barrett of the criminal investigations division told Townhall that Walton County Sheriff's Office has been "in constant communication" with McGinley and the district's attorney office "while navigating the case involving the Zulocks, including after the initial arrest took place and detectives uncovered the past allegations." The Real Purpose of Drag Queen Story Hour

Those who have voiced concerns about the dangers that drag events, such as Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), pose for children (namely, sexualization and grooming) have been told that those concerns are baseless, that the events are harmless, that it is all just entertainment and fun, and that attending drag events is a way to understand the gay culture.

On January 25, 2021 an academic paper entitled Drag Pedagogy: the Playful Practice of Queer Imagination in Early Childhood," was published online in Curriculum Inquiry, an educational journal.  The paper, recently called out by James Lindsay here and here and also by Christopher Rufo here, was written by Harper Keenen and Lil Miss Hot Mess (a founder of DQSH), who  describe themselves as "a genderqueer drag performer/scholar and a trans scholar" (p.443). 

Right off the bat, the abstract tells us the purpose of DQSH:

Ultimately, the authors propose that "drag pedagogy" provides a performative approach to queer pedagogy that is not simply about LGBT lives, but living queerly. (p. 440)

Through this programme, drag artists ... [are] positioning queer and trans cultural forms as valuable components of early childhood education. We are guided by the following question: what might Drag Queen Story Hour offer educators as a way of bringing queer ways of knowing and being into the education of young children?

The purpose of DQSH is not entertainment, nor to understand gay culture.  The purpose is to turn children "queer" through an educational process.

A California school district temporarily suspended its digital library after parents found that second-graders had access to books that feature sexual assault and pedophilic polar bears, according to The Blaze.

Trans Pride Flag Creator, 71, Announces Adoption of 14-Year-Old ‘Trans Daughter’

The Navy veteran responsible for designing the transgender pride flag has announced on social media that he and his partner, also a trans-identified male, have adopted a “transgender” child.

Monica Helms, born Robert Hogge, designed the first trans pride flag in 1999. He currently resides in Georgia with his partner Darlene Darlington Wagner, another trans-identified male who is 23 years younger than him.

On December 22, Helms announced that he and Wagner were in the process of adopting a 14-year-old “trans daughter,” who was living with the two adults while the paperwork was being finalized. The child is a biological male who Helms claims is a “girl.”

Helms is currently 71-years-old, but the state of Georgia does not place maximum age restrictions on adoption.

I am a 42-year-old St. Louis native, a queer woman, and politically to the left of Bernie Sanders. My worldview has deeply shaped my career. I have spent my professional life providing counseling to vulnerable populations: children in foster care, sexual minorities, the poor. 

For almost four years, I worked at The Washington University School of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases with teens and young adults who were HIV positive. Many of them were trans or otherwise gender nonconforming, and I could relate: Through childhood and adolescence, I did a lot of gender questioning myself. I’m now married to a transman, and together we are raising my two biological children from a previous marriage and three foster children we hope to adopt. 

All that led me to a job in 2018 as a case manager at The Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital, which had been established a year earlier. 

The center’s working assumption was that the earlier you treat kids with gender dysphoria, the more anguish you can prevent later on. This premise was shared by the center’s doctors and therapists. Given their expertise, I assumed that abundant evidence backed this consensus. 

During the four years I worked at the clinic as a case manager—I was responsible for patient intake and oversight—around a thousand distressed young people came through our doors. The majority of them received hormone prescriptions that can have life-altering consequences—including sterility. 

I left the clinic in November of last year because I could no longer participate in what was happening there. By the time I departed, I was certain that the way the American medical system is treating these patients is the opposite of the promise we make to “do no harm.” Instead, we are permanently harming the vulnerable patients in our care.

Today I am speaking out. I am doing so knowing how toxic the public conversation is around this highly contentious issue—and the ways that my testimony might be misused. I am doing so knowing that I am putting myself at serious personal and professional risk.

Food researcher calls for 'queer pedagogy' as part of sustainable development education

“Queer pedagogy, as a form of critical pedagogy, rejects the influence of heteronormative and patriarchal systems and consequently also rejects anthropocentrism,” says Higgins.

Heteronormative is defined as “the positioning of cisgender heterosexuality as the societal default or even ideal.”

Higgins explains that the United Nations adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, designed to guide humanity towards a more measured and equitable environment, society, and economy. The role of education in meeting these goals was recognized by the creation of Education for Sustainable Development, which Higgins argues must be “queered.”

This is because education is apparently “not neutral,” but instead can “ignore, or even detract from sustainable development.” Higgins says his paper “is focused on higher education but many of the contributions can be adapted for use in primary, secondary and further education.”
