A Minnesota high school has scrapped its traditional “gender-dependent” method of choosing homecoming “royalty.”

White Bear Lake Area High School no longer crowns a “king” and “queen” as part of its annual homecoming celebration, which took place last week. The school’s homecoming committee, with the backing of school administrators, adopted the “language of a royalty court” where the winners are selected “regardless of gender identity.”

In an email responding to a concerned parent, school principal Don Bosch said the change stems from the “traumatic misgendering of a student during last year’s Homecoming coronation preparations.”

We wrote about the panels at that conference, and what clinicians and activists were saying on those panels, including one on "Navigating The Changing Landscape With Littles And Their Families: Exploring The Role Of Mental Health Across Different Practice Settings With Transgender And Gender Diverse Pre-Adolescent Children."

Children's Minnesota demanded that the article be deleted from The Post Millennial's website. They did not want the video of the panel where clinicians discussed the medical and therapeutic gender transition of young children to be exposed to the public. We have not deleted the article. The Post Millennial believes that the footage meets every criteria of fair use.

The letter they sent to The Post Millennial stating that the article about the panel "disclosed identifying information of WPATH panelists... without proper consents." This was information that the panelists disclosed both in person at the conference, and via the livestream. Children's Minnesota claims that this was a violation of the WPATH Code of Conduct policy. This policy states that "Where applicable, photography, recording, or reproduction of any kind is not permitted without the explicit consent of any person and/or of the author/presenter/copyright- holder(s) of the material being photographed, recorded or reproduced." As such, they claim that our reporting is in violation of the Code of Conduct. After this letter, The Post Millennial took down the video of the full panel and replaced it with a three-minute clip.

A 10-year-old named Noella McMaher has become the youngest transgender model ever to open and close a runway show during New York Fashion Week.

Noella was born a boy, but dresses in girls’ clothing.

This is yet another example of an entire community—from this child’s parents, to the fashion industry, to LGBTQ organizations—pushing radical gender theory as both normal and acceptable among children who aren’t yet out of elementary school.

The fact that this happened at all, let alone was trumpeted across news sites and social media as a positive event for a child, is a travesty.

 

Multiple news outlets covered this story and heralded it as a positive. Several problematic ideas spring from just one article distributed by the Reuters news agency—from pushing a child to activism, to advertising a transgender child in a fashion show as normal, to the fact that Noella has been dressing and behaving like a girl since he was a preschooler.

In a video interview with Reuters accompanying the article, Noella, who is from Chicago, is reminded that this is a “first” in industry history.

The child replies: “It’s cool to have that title. It shows that I’m showing other people and kids that being transgender isn’t bad.”

Noella shouldn’t feel the pressure of being a transgender “mascot” or an advocate for a cause such as this, one that is fraught with complexity and nuance.

“What is normal?” Noella asks in the same interview. “It’s 2022, nobody knows what normal is at this point.”

A Vermont high school is cracking down after female students complained about a transgender student in their locker room — and the school’s solution is to ban the girls from their own locker room.

According to a report from local CBS News outlet WCAX, the controversy arose when a transgender teammate allegedly made remarks that made some of the others on the team uncomfortable.

The school informed parents via email that officials were investigating claims that the girls on the team had harassed their transgender teammate. But in the interim, the transgender student is still allowed full use of the locker room while the others have been relegated to a single-stall bathroom to change one at a time.

Gender Dysphoria Diagnoses for Children Soared 70% in 2021

Childhood gender dysphoria diagnoses soared 70% from 2020 to 2021, according to medical records of 330 million Americans analyzed by Komodo Health Inc, Reuters reported Thursday.

The findings reveal a massive uptick in gender dysphoria diagnoses for children aged 6 to 17, with at least 121,882 children receiving that diagnosis in the five years leading up to 2021, according to Reuters. While most children who are diagnosed with the disorder do not medically transition, the rate of children on puberty blockers more than doubled from 2017 to 2021 to just over 5,000.

The data aligns with other findings outlining the rapid rise in transgender identities among adolescents, but it’s less clear why the trend accelerated so rapidly in 2020. Some have attributed the youth transgender trend to social contagion, citing the popularity of trans videos on TikTok and other social media platforms, while others have pointed to school programming on gender identity issues for young children.

What I find so interesting is why suddenly this becomes a major topic? Why the resent upsurge in Medically/Surgically "Transitioning" young Men & Women? Why in 1992 no one was talking about this (except on the farthest fringes of) The Left?

If I were a Law Student, of thinking about becoming a Lawyer, I would consider studying this, as sometime soon you will not be ale to swing a dead cat without hitting a lawsuit against Hospitals, Doctors doing this, counselors, organization pushing it, parents approving it. Better Call Saul!

Public School Fires Substitute Teacher for Raising Concerns Over Book Depicting Same-Sex Couples

Lindsey Barr was fired from her substitute teaching job after expressing concern over the content of a book in the school library.  

Barr is a mother of three boys. All her children attend public school in Bryan County, Georgia, about 30 miles southwest of Savannah, where she also works as a substitute teacher.  

In August, Barr learned that McAllister Elementary School, where her first- and third-grade sons attend and where she sometimes works, planned to have the book “All Are Welcome” read during a “read aloud” story time in the school library.  

“I actually thought that the theme of the book was great, kindness, … including everyone,” Barr, 37, told The Daily Signal during a phone interview Thursday, “but the images, the illustrations, are contrary to what we believe for traditional marriage and families.”  

 

The book’s colorful pictures include depictions of same-sex couples taking their children to school and two lesbian mothers, one of whom is pregnant.  :snip:
