James Comey had no business meeting with Obama White House on Flynn case, former FBI executive says.

John Solomon

June 24, 2020

The belated discovery of disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok’s January 2017 notes raises troubling new questions about whether President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were coordinating efforts during their final days in office to investigate Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn — even as the FBI wanted to shut down the case.

Investigators will need to secure testimony from Strzok, fired two years ago from the FBI, to be certain of the exact meaning and intent of his one paragraph of notes, which were made public in court on Wednesday.

But they appear to illuminate an extraordinary high-level effort by outgoing Obama-era officials during the first weekend of January to find a way to sustain a counterintelligence investigation of Flynn in the absence of any evidence of wrongdoing.

Strzok strikes again

Scott Johnson

June 25 2020

Before the D.C. Circuit granted General Flynn’s petition for writ of mandamus in relevant part yesterday morning, prosecutors had produced newly discovered exculpatory evidence to Flynn as a result of the review conducted by United States Attorney Jeffrey Jensen. The newly discovered evidence is identified as notes taken by former Assistant FBI Director Peter Strzok.

FOX News covers the production here and here. The cover letter states: “While the page itself is undated; we believe that the notes were taken in early January 2017, possibly between January 3 and January 5.”

Undercover Huber tweeted out the notes (at bottom). At the Federalist, Sean Davis and Mollie Hemingway comment on the notes in “Explosive New FBI Notes Confirm Obama Directed Anti-Flynn Operation.” As always, their contribution is invaluable. At the American Thinker, Andrea Widburg also comments in “Obama and Biden were up to their necks in the Flynn persecution.”

At the time of the meeting documented in the notes, Obama and Biden were colluding with Comey et al. on a counterintelligence investigation aimed at President-elect Trump. Flynn had been named Trump’s National Security Advisor. The counterintelligence investigation was of course intended to undermine Trump and derail his administration.

Is Strzok Memo the Rosetta Stone of Obamagate?

By Frank Miele

July 6 2020

So much happens so fast in a world with a 15-minute news cycle that it’s difficult for a journalist to stop and breathe, let alone ponder the meaning of the latest breathless reporting.

As an example, it seems like it was months ago when the D.C. Court of Appeals ordered Judge Emmet Sullivan to dismiss the case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, but it was actually less than two weeks ago. June 24 to be exact, but to Flynn it probably seems like forever. No word from Sullivan about whether he intends to follow the order of the senior court, or continue to stall in an effort to punish Lt. Gen. Flynn for his political crime of supporting President Trump. But based on his record so far, Sullivan can probably be counted on to drag his feet while thumbing his nose at justice.

Ultimately, if Strzok is indeed the author, we need him to testify under oath exactly what is in the notes, and how they came to be written. Hopefully the FBI, the attorney general or someone else will declassify the extensive redactions above and below the nine lines that were released. One has to imagine that in those passages, Strzok revealed his source for the material quoted, as well as confirming the date of the meeting, and possibly the reason for the meeting. He has quite a tale to tell — one that could change history.

If there were even one Republican senator in charge of a committee who had the curiosity of a 3-year-old, it is likely we could actually get to the bottom of the shenanigans that nearly toppled a president and finally pin the “tale” on the donkey — the Democratic donkey that is.

But Republican senators in an election year have better things to do than protect and defend the Constitution. There are fundraisers to attend, after all.

FARRELL: Benghazi Terror Attacks Led To Crossfire Hurricane

Chris Farrell Judicial Watch

July 6 2020

In the last week, Judicial Watch released eighty new pages of documents relating to the September 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on U.S. government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, in which Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed. The new release shows top Obama White House officials scrambling to “evolve” their false claims that the attack began “spontaneously” in response to an anti-Muslim YouTube video. This was part of a coordinated campaign to “reinforce” President Obama and to portray the Benghazi consulate terrorist attack as being “rooted in an Internet video, and not a failure of policy.”

The Benghazi lie was pushed heavily by then-UN Ambassador Susan Rice, who was dispatched to five Sunday morning political talk shows to peddle the YouTube video falsehood. Meanwhile, then-Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes, then-NSC spokesman Tommy Vietor, and then-Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan were joking about how clever they had sold their damage control to a credulous press corps.

The level of smug arrogance revealed in these emails is beyond anything we have yet seem from the remarkably condescending Obama team. It is also important to note the complete emotional detachment from the tragedy that took place, the deaths of four Americans at the hands of terrorists, and the pain and grief suffered by their families. Not only were these swamp dwellers lying about what happened, they were inordinately proud of themselves for getting away with it.

The new records also contain correspondence between disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and various officials as part of the Midyear Exam investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server. One April 2016 memorandum of note between Strzok and Robert Zanger, of the DOJ’s Office of Records Management and Policy, noted that a search of the DOJ’s email gateway for any email between DOJ accounts and the @clintonemail.com domain turned up empty because “the server log is maintained for a period of two years,” and Clinton had been out of office for three. How convenient.
