You’ll want to grab a (Molotov) cocktail and sit down for this Obama tale.

Perhaps you’ll recall the news story of two well-to-do lawyers caught supplying leftist rioters with Molotov cocktails Saturday night. They were later seen tossing the bombs inside a police car, according to authorities.

For this material support of terrorism, which to now has been a serious crime in the America after 9/11, the female attorney, Urooj Rahman, was allowed to post bail and be put on house confinement pending her trial.

Rahman is seen above holding a Molotov cocktail in the van driven by her alleged co-conspirator. She’s covering her face with a keffiyeh scarf, a symbol of Palestinian solidarity.

It’s a good thing she has friends in high places. Rahman’s buddy showed up in court on Thursday and offered a bond for her $250,000 bail.:snip:

According to LinkedIn, Mattis held a slew of impressive roles before his arrest. He was an anti-poverty intern for the mayor of San Francisco, a middle school math and science teacher with Teach for America, an intellectual property intern at Microsoft, a legislative fellow for Colorado State Senator Mike Johnson and the president of the Princeton University Black Student Union. At the time of his arrest, Mattis was a furloughed associate at Pryor Cashman and a board member on the Brooklyn Community Board, according to the New York Times.

Hopefully Colinford will get to take being Bubba's Special Friend off his Bucket List

court orders defendants taken back into custody

A pair of lawyers charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail into a New York City police vehicle amid civil unrest last weekend was back in federal custody Friday after a federal court sided with prosecutors in keeping them detained.

The ruling from the three-member Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals reversed a lower court decision to release Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman to home confinement with GPS monitoring pending bail.

Mattis, 32, and Rahman, 31, are accused of firebombing an unoccupied NYPD vehicle early Saturday as clashes between police and rioters raged throughout the city following demonstrations over the death of George Floyd.:snip:
