Young America's Foundation -- "the nation’s premier organization for educating conservative students on college campuses" -- announced on Monday that President Ron Robinson will step down after 42 years at the helm of the organization. Robinson will be replaced by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

"Gov. Walker and YAF recognize that the assault on young conservative voices has brought us to a pivotal point in our nation’s cultural war and has led to the troubling rise of young people’s favor of socialism," the group told Townhall in an exclusive statement.

"Gov. Walker is committed to YAF’s 50-year history of building up the next generation of conservatives, and continuing his focus in the trenches fighting for freedom of speech for young conservatives on college campuses," a spokesperson added. :snip:

1st reply..............

Scott Walker oversaw the biggest corporate welfare arrangement in Wisconsin history. To say that he's a conservative is a bit....misleading. He may have a soft spot for conservatism, but his track record says the opposite.

Foxconn’s Wisconsin Project: Largest Greenfield Foreign Investment In U.S. History

When Foxconn Founder and CEO Terry Gou announced his company’s planned $10 billion investment in Southeastern Wisconsin by 2020 last week, it not only represented the state’s largest-ever economic development project, but also one of the largest new greenfield investments ever made by a foreign-based company in U.S. history, based on jobs. Gou was joined at the White House by President Donald J. Trump and Governor Scott Walkerto announce the new world-class manufacturing campus, which will create 13,000 new jobs.

“We are thrilled to build a state-of-the art display fabrication plant in America’s heartland, which will be the first of a series of facilities we are building in several U.S. states as part of a robust 8K+5G ecosystem in the United States,” said Gou. “We thank President Trump and Governor Walker for their work to bring Foxconn to Wisconsin. Wisconsin offers a talented, hardworking workforce, and a long track record in advanced manufacturing, all of which presents an extraordinary opportunity.”

Foxconn is still evaluating multiple sites for the plant. With a floor area of 20 million square feet, the Foxconn campus will become one of the largest manufacturing campuses in the world.

Employees at the new facility will manufacture state-of-the-art liquid crystal display (LCD) screens which will be used in everything from self-driving cars to aircraft systems and in the fields of education, entertainment, healthcare, safety and surveillance, advanced manufacturing systems, and office automation, among others. Foxconn is a global leader in manufacturing services for the computer, communication, and consumer electronics (3C) industry.:snip:
