Nude Melania Pic Sparks Trump Attack on Heidi Cruz

An anti-Trump Super PAC unleashed a Facebook ad in Utah which featured a nude photo of Melania Trump, from her days as a model. This led frontrunner Donald Trump to respond with a tweet against Ted Cruz, who fired back in kind.

The conservative Super PAC Make America Awesome started the spousal war with a scandalous photo of Trump's wife, with the caption: "Meet Melania Trump. Your next first lady. Or you could support Ted Cruz on Tuesday."

Since the photo encouraged Utahns to back Cruz, Trump decided to attack the Texas senator for it. He deleted the first tweet, which the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza caught to preserve for posterity. Trump threatened to "spill the beans on your wife."Scissors-32x32.png

Conservative Super-PAC "Make America Awesome"...put the ad out.

Not affiliated with the Cruz campaign (or any candidate)...and saying so on the ad under the photo of Mrs. Trump.

This is a "trick" by establishment GOPe supporters, that have less than no love for Trump or Cruz.

Well done...and expect more!

Heidi Cruz was arrested or had some mental health treatment or whatever else they can dig out of the trash. (BTW: I don't know if it is any or all of that-just that something will turn up) No matter, as Trump says "the gloves are off"...Cruz dares him to just try hurting Heidi & the a-holes that put it in motion are closer to a brokered convention...where their last great hope...John Kasich will be elected the nominee...returning them to power for another 4 to 8 years.

Donald Trump viewed more unfavorably than Congress, GOP

The turbulence the Republican party is currently experiencing does not look like it's going to end or even let up anytime soon. New polls report the party's front-runner is the most unfavorable candidate among American voters.

A Bloomberg poll, conducted by Selzer & Co., released Tuesday reveals the one thing American voters disapprove of more than the Republican party and even Congress -- Donald J. Trump.

According to the poll, 53 percent of Americans view Trump "very unfavorably." That's half of the United States, as opposed to only a third of voters who view Congress in the same light.

A huge question mark for the GOP is if Trump can win a general election. Should the GOP front-runner receive the party's nomination, it is unlikely he would win the White House. According to this week's Bloomberg poll, Trump would fall to Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup by 18 points.

Nice to see that once again...we are allowing the media and biased polls decide our candidate & the election. With 4 years of pure socialist "change"...Oblunder should have been relegated to the trash bin. Instead, Progressives & the media denigrated a moderate Republican and let a usurper in for another 4 years.

We finally have...although at times crude...a candidate not influenced by an establishment PAC, that has the drive necessary to pull Blue Dog Dems & Independents to his rallies...and we're going to let others direct our anger at his imperfections...and not vote, or waste a vote...in a fit of pique at those imperfections.

Well, please, at least show up and vote to keep Congress in Republican hands...we'll need it to keep Killary or the Commie from completing our descent into a 3rd world socialist oligarchy. At least until the next couple of Supremes are appointed...at which point it doesn't matter.

I just went to a FOX news thread on Facebook (yeah, I know) and I have never seen such childish, shallow "you started it, no you started it" arguments this side of DU. What an embarrassment. They say that people get the president they deserve. I believe it. Corrupt, shallow, selfish, childish President Hillary is going to have a nice time while Bill cools His heels with the interns. I used to be able to predict this stuff based on something other than our base tantrums. No more. American politics meets The World Wrestling federation.

Classic politics in 2016. The candidates have their rabid supporters on the fringes...and like the "nude" photo of Mrs. Trump posted by another conservative group, not related to the Cruz campaign...it will be the Barnum & Bailey Clown Car Election.

You Won't Believe What Donald Trump Thinks The Federal Government's Top 3 Roles Are

On Tuesday during CNN's town hall, Donald Trump was asked what he thinks are the top three functions of government.

He answered, "[t]he greatest function of all by far is security for our nation. I would also say health care, I would also say education."

Republicans have long tried to limit the federal government's involvement in health care and education.Scissors-32x32.png

Amanda Carpenter: No, I didn’t have an affair with Ted Cruz
Allahpundit
March 29 2016

Neither she nor Jake Tapper wanted to do this interview just like I didn’t want to write this post, and all for the same reason — namely, there’s no way to address ratf*cking without participating in it. To deny an accusation publicly is to spread it; outlets like the Enquirer count on that to insulate them from lawsuits. If you’re Justice Scalia’s kids, what should you do when your late father’s accused of hiring a prostitute who did him in via lethal injection? Sue and inadvertently publicize the Enquirer’s story or grit your teeth and wait for it to go away?

Carpenter, a CNN contributor and a Townhall.com alum, couldn’t wait any longer, and one reason she couldn’t wait is because Trump’s own social media director, Dan Scavino, has been helping to circulate the rumors that she had an affair with Cruz. What she’s been through in the days since the Enquirer stuck a barely pixelated photo of her in its story about Cruz’s alleged liaisons is worse than what Michelle Fields has been through, I think, for the simple reason that it’s based on pure innuendo...............(Snip)

OH THE HUMANITY!

Donald Trump on Tuesday night offered America a new menace to be afraid of: a reporter with a pen.

Trump, speaking at a CNN town hall event, said former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields had been holding a pen when she approached him with a question earlier this month at an event in Florida.

“She had a pen in her hand, which Secret Service is not liking because they don’t know what it is, whether it’s a little bomb,” Trump said.

This led Philip Bump to tweet out a horrific possibility. Brace yourself. Maybe sit down first. Scissors-32x32.png

Trump: Top 3 Functions of U.S. Government Are Security, Health Care, and Education

CNSNews.com) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was asked to name the top three functions of the United States Government at CNN’s town hall on Tuesday, and he said they are security, health care, and education.

At the event, Robert Kitelinger, an Army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked, “In your opinion, what are the top three functions of the United States government?”

Trump said, “Well, the greatest function of all, by far, is security for our nation. I would also say health care, I would also say education. I mean, there are many, many things, but I would say the top three are security, security, security.”

“We have to have security for our country so that we can continue to exist as a country,” he explained. “We are in danger. Thousands and thousands of people are infiltrating our country. We don't know who they are.” Scissors-32x32.png

THE TRUMP TORNADO TOUCHES DOWN IN WISCONSIN

Once again proving himself a magnificent asset to Democrats, Donald Trump continued his slash-and-burn path toward the Republican nomination on Wednesday, ripping into yet another rising star in the conservative movement, this time Gov. Scott Walker.

“There’s a $2.2 billion deficit and the schools were going begging,” asserted Trump of the extremely brave and successful Republican governor of Wisconsin, who fearlessly took on the state’s out-of-control government unions. In fact, Trump informed us, “everything was going begging” in Walker’s lousy state. And why is that? The Republican front-runner expertly explained Walker’s fatal flaw: “because he didn’t want to raise taxes.” Sounding like a cross between Bernie Sanders and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Trump affirmed: “So instead of raising taxes, he cut back on schools, he cut back on highways, he cut back on a lot of things.” And thus, surmised Trump, “Wisconsin has a lot of problems.” These include, said the master of the insult, a “tremendous hatred” that permeates the Midwest landscape.

Gee, what could have justified this nasty treatment of Scott Walker? The answer, of course, is obvious in Trump’s case, as it’s always obvious in Trump’s case: Scott Walker endorsed Ted Cruz. Walker’s endorsement of Cruz is thus a non-endorsement of the Donald. It is, thereby, judged a ferocious criticism of Donald Trump beyond the bounds of any possible legitimacy or acceptability. And we know how Donald Trump handles dissenters. To quote from his advice to advocates at his rallies, he “knocks the hell out of them.”Scissors-32x32.png

Donald Trump stumbles over policy as media presses harder for specifics

Donald Trump threatened Wednesday to impose criminal punishment against women who seek abortions in violation of the law — then recanted just hours later, as the GOP presidential front-runner continues to try to calibrate his stances with his new political party.

His vow to penalize women who terminate their pregnancies in the event abortion became illegal goes against pro-life orthodoxy, which says the doctors, not the women, are the criminals in cases of illegal abortions.

It marked the second time in as many days that Mr. Trump strayed from core Republican principles, after he said Tuesday that education and health care are two of the most important functions of the federal government.

Poll: Trump would be most disliked nominee in modern era
Rebecca Savransky
March 31 2016

If Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump gets the GOP's nomination, he would be the most disliked major-party nominee in modern times, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Thursday.

Trump has a 67 percent unfavorable rating, with just 30 percent favorable. The businessman is viewed unfavorably by 75 percent of women, 66 percent of independents, 85 percent of Hispanics and 80 percent of young adults. Nearly half of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents also view him unfavorably.

His rival Ted Cruz has a 51 percent unfavorable rating and 35 percent favorable.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is 52 percent unfavorable and 46 percent favorable, the poll found.

@SrWoodchuck, you said "We finally have...although at times crude...a candidate not influenced by an establishment PAC, that has the drive necessary to pull Blue Dog Dems & Independents to his rallies...and we're going to let others direct our anger at his imperfections...and not vote, or waste a vote...in a fit of pique at those imperfections."

I guess I have to take issue with the phrase "we're going to let others direct our anger".

No one is directing my anger. It's coming right from my core, my very heart. I know what I see, I know what I hear, and I base my conclusions and my feelings on that and that alone; and it's a bit more than a "fit of pique"; it's a total rejection of nearly everything this man stands for. I don't want him representing me, my party, or my country.

I don't want Hillary either, but I do not see Trump as the "lesser of two evils"; as I've stated before, I believe they are equally "evil".

Trump’s 24 hours of mayhem

The fallout for Trump has been swift, as Republican rivals denounced the real estate mogul’s escalating attacks on a reporter who accused Trump’s campaign manager of battery and his suggestion that women should be punished for seeking abortions if the procedure is outlawed — a statement Trump quickly tried to walk back.

He also freshly rankled leading Republicans around the country for tearing up his previous pledge to support the eventual nominee, saying Tuesday night that “we’ll see who it is.”

The series of events gave mainstream Republicans new hope that they could prevent him from winning the nomination outright through pledged delegates. But they're also more worried than ever about a fractured party heading into the fall.

“Trump is an embarrassment for the party. He’s not a conservative, he’s not a Republican, he’s someone who’s simply for himself,” said Ryan Williams, a GOP consultant and veteran of Mitt Romney’s campaigns. “He’s set a new standard and is going to give a number of Republicans pause about supporting him if he’s the nominee. That’s Donald Trump’s fault and Donald Trump’s fault alone.”Scissors-32x32.png

This has turned into quite the mess for all. Cruz jumping on the Trump double speak, change tune, slip what ever it was on abortion also just put himself open for long term attacks.

So Cruz jumps in the fray saying women should not be punished for abortion if it is illegal, what was Trump thinking. Cruz wants abortion illegal but he does not want the women committing the crime of paying for murder punished, only the doctor who does it (I guess this is Trump's stance now too). This is a losing way to frame the issue. So if a women hires someone to kill her 1 year old baby, only the hired killer should be punished because the women is too vulnerable, emotional, etc. What about illegal alien women should they be free to stay (no penalty) becaause they are vulnerable, etc? Where does it stop? Either something is illegal or it is not. Can't only do it sometimes unless you are pandering.

Americans agree: Donald Trump has reached a new low

Americans' views of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have dropped since July, a new Gallup poll has found. In fact, both candidates are faring the worst among all the presidential candidates in terms of favorability -- and are perceived as less favorable than ever.

Trump's net favorability rating -- calculated as the percentage of poll respondents who have a favorable view of each candidate, minus the percentage of those with an unfavorable view -- is the lowest of any candidate: -35, which is ten points lower than it was in January. Cruz's rating is now -16, marking a 13-point drop since the start of the year and meaning his image is deteriorating at an even faster rate than Trump's, according to Gallup.Scissors-32x32.png
