Draggingtree
Grilled CantaloupeBy Meathead Goldwyn This is a great, light, simple-to-prepare dessert. But you can also serve this as a side dish to grilled pork chops, halibut steaks, salmon filets, or grilled chicken breasts. Makes. 4 servings Takes. 30 minutes Ingredients1 large cantaloupe 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup lemon juice 2 tablespoons cracked black pepper Method1) In a shallow dish, stir together the honey and lemon juice. Set aside. 2) Cut the melon into 1/2-inch round slices. Remove the pulp and seeds and cut the slices in half so you have half-moon slices. 3) Preheat the barbecue to about 325°F. 4) Place the slices directly on the hot grill, brush with the honey-lemon mixture, and cook just long enough to get good grill marks on the bottom side. Turn and brush again with the honey-lemon. Remove the slices from the grill after 2 to 3 minutes. 5) Place the slices on a serving platter, brush the better-marked side with more honey-lemon, and generously sprinkle with the cracked black pepper. http://amazingribs.com/recipes/desserts/grilled_canteloupe.html
