That is so silly. At the age when children are watching Thomas they are not thinking about race, gender, or any of the other things that mother brought up.

But they should. We should all be obsessed on this 24/7 from the moment we are born until the day we die, because if we aren't......well I'm not really sure what will happen...except for not feeling self-righteous.

BREAKING: President Calls for Section 8 Housing on Martha's Vineyard to Accommodate Illegal Alien Children

Citing a concern with diversity on the posh resort island of Martha's Vineyard, President Barack Obama today called for a massive local buildup of Section 8 Housing to accommodate thousands of unaccompanied alien children (UACs).

"To paraphrase a famous movie," the President joked, "'I see white people.' In all seriousness, our national mandate for social justice demands that we integrate Martha's Vineyard, which today is a haven for millionaires and billionaires, as well as corporate jet- and yacht-owners, almost all of whom have pasty white complexions. And just think of all of the thousands of construction jobs we'll save or create!"

The President's auto-pen in Washington signed an Executive Order commanding the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to build "not less than three thousand low-income housing units on the north side of the island near Lambert's Cove."

The units, according to the order, will be devoted to housing up to 12,000 illegal alien children and their guardians.

Obama noted that he would not be vacationing on the Vineyard this year and would instead spend three weeks in Hawaii.

A reminder for @righteousmomma! if she still comes around here: don't forget to watch the final stage of Tour de France today for shots of your statue! (Kinda mine too since Jeanne d'Arc is my confirmation name.)

Thanks Leilani! I still come around and have watched some of the tour this year.

Between my own virtual life and the Lance Armstrong tragedy (to us who saw him win a couple time) I had a hard time rooting for anyone.

Fox Sports says:

Vincenzo Nibali won the Tour de France on Sunday, becoming the first Italian in 16 years to triumph in cycling's greatest race by chiseling a lead over his main rivals a few seconds at a time and dominating them in the mountains.

The 29-year-old Sicilian, who called himself "a flag-bearer of anti-doping" during the race, finished in a bunch behind Marcel Kittel, who won the 21st stage in a sprint finish.

I found this interesting, on the farcical global warming front--to debunk such: (Do you see SANDY or KATRINA?)

Hurricanes.png

Sweet @Chickadee!

I don't think Sandy would qualify for strength.....and Katrina's damage was more for the 22 foot storm surge & the breaking of the levee's. Additionally, a lot of loss of life & property, could be assigned to Mayor Nagin with his dithering....and some to Rep. Mary Landrieu. Maximum sustained winds for Katrina were 127 miles per hour. Gathering so many people at the Superdome without pre-planning & necessary survival supplies, was also bone-headed. Nagin is paying with jail time, for some of the corruption that made the levee collapse possible [using repair & maintenance funds for the levee's for "other" things].....and hopefully Landrieu will pay with her seat in Congress.

The Children Lost And Found

http://alltherightsnark.org/children-lost-found/

In the fall of 1969, with the hippies on the ground
Two little boys stand tall in the schoolyard above the town
Their father went out dancing, the boys they stayed behind
While mother tended to her joint with dad from their boy’s sides

The two had gone to find themselves, lost their way instead
By dusk the mum and dad were found to not care what went on
Four hundred thousand gathered there to hear the music sound
The fires were built on the highest peak in haze of drugs they’d downed

Oh mummy and daddy why did you let us down?
Our country’s almost over, soon it won’t be found
We’re alone and waiting for our fellow Patriots
Please promise not to stray again from our humble door

Now mum and daddy woke one night from a strange and eerie dream
They saw a path between two hills, one was dark the other beamed
Dad told his wife he saw the ‘truth’ muddled somewhere in between
For two more nights the dream returned, his vision he esteemed

Oh mummy and daddy why did you let us down?
Our country’s almost over, soon it won’t be found
We’re alone and waiting for our fellow Patriots
Please promise not to stray again from our humble door

A million men have searched in vain to find a better way
But none will find that perfect land away from ‘Merica
With our guide to make us free, we will come through this you see
What’s lost is found if we still follow our Old Glor-y

Oh mummy and daddy why did you let us down?

Study Finds College Still More Worthwhile Than Spending 4 Years Chained To Radiator http://www.theonion.com/articles/study-finds-college-still-more-worthwhile-than-spe,36576/

WASHINGTON—A study published Wednesday by the National Education Association has determined that a four-year college education is still a better investment of one’s time and money than spending the same duration chained to a radiator in a dank, unlit basement.

“Compared to the intellectual stimulation and personal growth achieved in a university setting, there is less to be gained from 48 months in which one is tightly shackled about the ankle and connected by a short length of chain to a leaking, immovable cast-iron radiator,” read the report in part, which played down the high cost of student loans when contrasted with the psychological trauma and physical atrophy that typically accompany four years spent in the same 3-foot radius on a cracked concrete floor with only a pail of food scraps to subsist on.

“College can offer a multidisciplinary education and foster lifelong social connections, and it comes with the added benefit of providing students with a comfortable campus setting that contains actual restroom facilities. These are things one would not get while detained in the uninsulated basement of an abandoned warehouse.”

The study conceded, however, that those chained to radiators consistently outperformed college graduates on certain measures, such as screaming hallucinated demons into submission and inching along the floor on one’s stomach to drink fetid water from a puddle.
