Some very interesting primary election politics going on here in NC this week.

There are 10 Republican candidates in the race to defeat the incumbant US Senator Kay Hagan. She is wildly unpopular now because of her support of ObamaCare.

The leading GOP candidate has been Thom Tillis who has a good concervative record... but like all of the other candidates does not have great name recognition at this time. However, he has done some good campaign advertising recently.

Last week there were a series of attack ads against Tillis because of some previous issue with one of his assistants actions. I didn't recognize the name of the group sponsoring the ad. It turns out it was a DEM/Harry Reid funded attack group.

Today we get the belows slick mailer in our box. Looking closely you see it's paid for by Kay Hagan... They are really scared of running against Tillis and they're pulling out all the stops to have him lose in the primary to yield a weak opponent.

It's really funny that they are trying to tie him to ObamaCare even though that is where Hagan is the weakest for her strong support.

This is all that I needed to know about Tillis. He's got my vote.

Lib Rag Guardian: Cats And Dogs Causing Global Warming… http://weaselzippers.us/184327-lib-rag-guardian-pet-cats-and-dogs-causing-global-warming/

As our pets increasingly adopt the consumer habits of their owners, it’s clear that no matter how “green” this industry becomes, it will never become sustainable. But even if we severely restrict what pet products can be sold, and even if we stop overfeeding our increasingly overweight pet populations – 53% of dogs and 58% of cats are overweight or obese in the US, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention – can pets be part of a sustainable future?

But our pet population consumes a huge amount of resources which, in our climate constrained reality, are no longer available. With a human population of 7.2 billion and a dog and cat population now in the hundreds of millions (it’s estimated at 179m in the US alone), the Earth cannot sustain these populations – especially as a growing percentage of pets live their lives as ravenous consumers.

So fast forward to a climate disrupted future, which the new IPCC reportsuggests is coming faster than we thought. Where do pets fit in?

When climate change disrupts grain supplies, shoots food prices through the roof and also eviscerates the global consumer economy, pets may be abandoned in droves, as families suddenly can no longer afford their upkeep. We’ve seen this happen in times of economic crises, hence thelarge feral dog population in Detroit today. But perhaps at that point the pet issue will solve itself – as these packs of dogs become a bridge food for the hungry unemployed masses.

All day, CNN and the NYTimes have been running lead stories about the horrors in the execution of convicted murderer Clayton Lockett.

Each article includes his photo obviously to inject race and injustice into the event.

Clayton Lockett

However.... the FoxNews article covered "the rest of the story."

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/04/30/botched-oklahoma-execution-did-anyone-remember-clayton-lockett-victim/

Clayton Lockett died Tuesday night. The State of Oklahoma executed him. Something happened in the process of executing Mr. Lockett.

It did not go as planned.

Witnesses say he writhed and shook on the table. Twenty minutes after the lethal injection had been administered, Mr. Lockett died of a heart attack.

Now here's the part that CNN and NYTimes conveniently overlook.... Why was Clayton on death row anyway?

Read a fuller account of the murder in the link posted at the end.

One person who will not weigh in on the merits of Clayton Lockett’s execution is Stephanie Neiman. Clayton Lockett tried to rob a house Miss Neiman was at. She tried to fight him off. He and his accomplices overwhelmed her.

They beat her, bound her with duct tape, taped her mouth shut, shot her, then buried her alive. Many of those outraged at how Mr. Lockett’s execution played out will, hopefully, pause to reflect on exactly why the state chose to execute him.

Sadly, Stephanie Neiman, is unavailable for comment on the situation.

I don't think many people here felt sorry for him, maybe he felt a little of the fear that poor girl did. Another guy was supposed to get I at 8:00 but was cancelled because of this one. He has 14 days left to live now and I really could care less if he suffers, the second guy murdered and raped a 11 month of baby girl, so who cares what happens to him.

so who cares what happens to him.

@cudjo

The liberals who want to blame white society for creating a life for him that left him no other choice than to rape and murder... and the race pimps who want to use half of the story to bolster their reason for being... that's who.
