Rep. Maxine Waters’ daughter collected $240K from congresswoman’s campaign

The daughter of California Rep. Maxine Waters netted around $240,000 this past election cycle — from her mother’s own campaign, new records show.

The congresswoman’s campaigns shelled out payments to Karen Waters for work she did on her 82-year-old mother’s re-election campaign, including “slate mailer management” and “GOTV” — or likely “Get Out the Vote” services.

The payments appear in new Federal Election Commission filings reported by Fox News on Friday.

More than $212,600 in disbursements to Karen Waters are broken down into 26 entries such as “slate mailer management” fees, “office expenses” and “canvassing” between March 2019 and September 2020.:snip:

Ed Buck Was Protected. He Still Is. Part III

This is a continuation of the story Ed Buck was protected. He still is. -- See Part 1 and Part 2

Despite multiple escorts dying of methamphetamine overdose in his West Hollywood apartment since 2017, Democratic megadonor Ed Buck managed to evade charges for over two years. From my previous article:

Buck’s life continued uninterrupted until September, when a third overdose victim managed to escape the apartment, sparking federal charges. Like Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest, the event brought a deluge of condemnations from his former friends, each denying knowledge of misdeeds and misrepresenting past relationships. Even the District Attorney’s office finally pressed charges.

What could have bought Ed Buck so many layers of protection?  :snip:

RON KIND (D-Wi) ON RUN: STAFFER FREAKOUT OVER LAVISH TRAVEL STORY

:snip:

The investigation into Kind revealed that he—over the past two decades—took 14 separate trips funded entirely by special interests and corporations. The trips, on many of which he took his wife and some of which he took their kids as well, cost a total of more than $110,000—more than any other member of the Wisconsin delegation in Congress at this time. Excursion destinations included Rome, Geneva, Brussels, Munich, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Amelia Island in Florida, Seattle, and Tel Aviv. On many of them, the documents Kind filed with the House Ethics Committee reveal, Kind and his wife Tawni stayed at five-star hotels and enjoyed lavish accommodations.

These revelations come on the heels of the reporting last week that Kind owns a commercial real estate property in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from which he collects tens-of-thousands of dollars in annual rent from a seedy massage parlor tenant. The tenant, Asian Sunny Massage, advertises on websites known to law enforcement to be hubs for illicit sex and prostitution advertisements. While no accusations of illegal activity at this spa have been specifically made, police have, in its three short years of operation, been called to the location no fewer than seven separate times—including several times in the middle of the night. Instead of seeking to get to the bottom of the matter of why police were called to his property in the middle of the night, Kind has leveled baseless accusations of racism against his GOP opponent, retired Navy SEAL Derrick Van Orden, for expressing concern about the reports.:snip:

Convicted Former Congressman Still Draws Estimated $1 Million Federal Lifetime Pension

After being sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 23-count conviction for racketeering, fraud and other corruption charges, disgraced former Congressman Chaka Fattah was released from prison last July after about one year.

But the icing on this crooked cake is that Fattah is collecting a taxpayer-funded pension. The estimated pension is at least $55,000 per year. Fattah is only 64 years old, so his estimated lifetime pension is $1 million.

The reason we must take an educated guess? Congressional pensions are exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).:snip:

Former FBI Director Freeh gave $100k to a trust for VP Biden’s grandkids in 2016 while exploring ‘future work options’

Take it from the New York Times and Washington Post: nothing to see here, move along. Definitely not a bribe.

Emails recovered from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop reveal that while Joe Biden was vice president, a trust for his grandchildren – the children of his late son Beau Biden – received a hundred thousand dollars from a foundation controlled by former FBI Director Louis Freeh, who was a lawyer for 3 corrupt foreign businessmen, later convicted and imprisoned. In the emails it is revealed that Freeh actually met with the sitting VP in 2016 "to explore with him some future work options," in addition to courting his son Hunter for collaboration.:snip:

Illinois Dem Offered Activist Taxpayer-Funded Job in Alleged Bid to Clear Primary Field, Court Docs Show

Democratic congresswoman Marie Newman (Ill.) promised a six-figure, taxpayer-funded job to a local activist that he says was a bribe to keep him out of a tight primary race—an apparent violation of federal law.

Columbia College Chicago adjunct professor and Palestinian activist Iymen Chehade sued Newman in January for breach of contract. Included in the lawsuit is a December 2018 Agreement signed by Newman that promised Chehade a senior role in the Democrat's congressional office should she be elected. According to the Complaint, which was first reported by CBS Chicago and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, Newman offered the contract "in an effort to induce Chehade not to run against her in the primary.":snip:

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — A former Tennessee governor's administration helped fund a contract murder of a key federal witness decades ago while embroiled in the state's largest political scandal, law enforcement officials announced Wednesday. :snip:

:snip:The scandal ultimately led to the ousting of Democratic Gov. Ray Blanton, who was never indicted in the investigation — but three of his aides were. However, questions have lingered about the extent to which the governor's administration actively worked to thwart the investigation. Officials say at least five witnesses in the case were murdered or killed themselves.:snip:

Democratic donor Ed Buck injected drugs into passed out sex partners, prosecutors say

Democratic megadonor Ed Buck, who is about to stand trial in the drugging deaths of two men, lured a stream of young participants to his West Hollywood apartment where they were injected with methamphetamine and played sexual fetish games, federal prosecutors said.

One victim went to Buck’s apartment to model underwear and ingested a drink “that made him feel paralyzed and when he started to come to, he saw Buck injecting him with something,” according to a U.S. attorney’s office pretrial memo filed on Friday. The victim met Buck through an online advertisement to “host a party,” which was understood to mean drug use and sex.

Buck, 66, has been charged with six counts of methamphetamine distribution, including two cases of death, two counts of interstate prostitution, and one count of operating a drug den. The trial starts July 13 and is expected to last eight days. The charge of distribution of methamphetamine resulting in death carries a 20-year mandatory minimum sentence and a maximum of life imprisonment.:snip:
