Former top aide to LA councilman to plead guilty in $1M bribery scheme: report

A former top aide to Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar agreed to plead guilty to racketeering in an ongoing $1 million federal bribery investigation, a report said.

George Esparza, 33, is the closest aide to Huizar of the four who have pleaded guilty in the investigation.

In his plea agreement, he will admit to attempting to sell influence to real estate developers between 2013 and 2018 in exchange for cash, luxury trips and political donations. One included the billionaire head of a major Chinese real estate company who allegedly spent more than $1 million in bribes for a proposed 77-story skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Esparza left his city job in 2018 and currently is chief of staff for California Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo.

Esparza told investigators he “personally accepted at least approximately $32,000 in gambling chips, plus flights on private jets and commercial airlines, stays at luxurious hotels, expensive meals and alcohol, spa services, event tickets, and escort services," according to a statement from the U.S. attorney's office.

Planes, Casinos, Sexual Harassment and a Chinese Billionaire: LA Councilman Charged In Massive Bribery Case

NBC reports many of the facts of the case, but leaves readers to guess which party the alleged bribe-taker belongs to.

Jose Huizar, 61, was arrested at his home on a federal racketeering charge amid an ongoing FBI corruption probe, according to federal prosecutors in California.

Huizar is accused of turning his city council seat into what U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna described as a “money-making criminal enterprise that shaped the development landscape in Los Angeles.”

Notice NBC hasn’t named his party yet. Makes one wonder if their Verification Unit was too busy to deploy Google search.:snip:

Federal Workers Accuse Biden Labor Ally of Sexual Misconduct, Racial Discrimination

Federal workers are accusing powerful Democratic labor allies of gross sexual misconduct, ranging from the use of a company limo to visit male prostitutes to licking the ear of a subordinate.

A new lawsuit accuses 16 senior officials of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), a public-sector union with more than 300,000 members, of either directly perpetuating racial and sexual misconduct or helping to cover up of such incidents.

The lawsuit contains new details about former union president Jeffrey David Cox's abuse of power as the top honcho of the union, alleging that he frequently used the company limo to travel to strip clubs or procure male prostitutes. It also accuses his successor, Dr. Everett Kelley, of shielding Cox and other union officials accused of sexual abuse and harassment. The members claim leadership frequently ignored allegations or reappointed accused officials to their posts shortly after they were removed.

"The toxic environment that existed under Cox continues unabated after his departure and under Defendants' leadership," the lawsuit says.:snip:

A Criminal Enterprise, a.k.a. the Democratic Party

Somewhere within the last few decades, the United States was taken over by a clandestine criminal enterprise working under the radar to infiltrate and gain control of our media, schools, universities, unions, Hollywood, military and our halls of governance at the local, state, and federal level.  They did so in conjunction with a new American oligarchy composed of billionaires seeking a One World Order and all too willing to fund their operations, along with the aid of foreign financiers such as Red China and parts of the oil rich Islamist world.

Within time, and with much of its funding coming from a billionaire oligarchy, they were able to hijack the entire Democrat Party who were only too willing to sell out the United States to the highest bidders while lining their own pockets with sweetheart deals made with Red China, Iran, and Ukraine.  The admittance of Red China in 2001 into the World Trade Organization, backed and supported by Bill Clinton and Joe Biden, was the beginning of China's advance and the decline of the United States on the world stage.  As American companies moved overseas along with the millions of lost jobs in cities throughout the United States, Democrats and some Republicans, sold us a bill of goods.  They advanced the notion that we were moving towards a service economy and that cheap labor overseas meant cheaper products here at home.  They failed to mention that the loss of our manufacturing industry to China, and in particular our pharmaceutical industry, posed a national security threat since China could threaten to stop selling essential goods to us.  Nor did they mention that certain minerals, now mined in China, were critical to our military defense.  These decisions were made against our national interests; yet, no one in Washington protested.:snip:

Socialist CdeBaca offers childish excuses for breaking campaign finance laws

Sep 9, 2020

True to her socialist core, Denver Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca thinks campaign finance rules apply to everyone but herself.

Colorado Politics reports CdeBaca’s campaign broke the law and took contributions well above the legal limit of $1,000 and failed to report contributions above $500.

Quote

Denver City Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca’s campaign violated election finance laws last year when vying for District 9, a seat she won in a runoff election against the well-funded, two-term incumbent Albus Brooks.

CdeBaca’s excuse for accepting more than the legal limit? It’s no big deal because it only happened 20 times.

Warren has not been arrested but will be processed, Doorley said. If convicted, she would be removed from office.

NC Democratic Senate Nominee Cal Cunningham Caught in Sexting Scandal, Chuck Schumer Hardest Hit

Earlier this week I wrote about how North Carolina Democratic Senate nominee Cal Cunningham was widely mocked after posting a staged photo of himself in a freshly-ironed campaign-approved apron standing next to a grill talking about how “there’s nothing better than BBQ.”

The reasons why this was such a (humorous) scandal in North Carolina are explained in detail here, but as it turns out goofy photos posted to Twitter are the very least of his problems right now.

Late Friday evening, Cunningham admitted to sexting with a California woman while in the middle of his campaign for the U.S. Senate. While there’s nothing necessarily wrong with sexting in and of itself, it’s a very big problem when you’re a married man with two teenage kids:

The report included pictures of the text messages, in which Cunningham and [Arlene Guzman Todd], who is also married according to the report, talked about kissing each other and more.:snip:

There are many many things in this world I do not understand. This being fairly close to the top of the list. You''re married to a beautiful woman (ya got 4 kids, so I'm gonna say there's no bedroom issues), You're running for Congress and you start sending texts messages “Would make my day to roll over and kiss you about now,” to another woman (and she pretty Hot...but HELLO shes also married), and no one is gonna find out? Have You Heard the Name Gary Hart!

BTW That Bedroom thing? I suspect your can put That in your Book Of Memories. Assuming she is a woman with any kind of self respect at all. Even IF this doesn't go to divorce court, get your wallet out and stand by to do some serious groveling.

Remember the old (TRUE) saying...'If mama ain't happy...ain't nobody happy."

Remember how some people made fun of Mike Pence, when he said he Never had a meeting with a women alone? Here we see a reason why!
