NCTexan
Brazil President snubs Obama over NSA spying, cancels US visit WASHINGTON: Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has delivered a stunning rebuke to the United States, scrubbing a much-anticipated state visit to Washington DC to express her country's anger over American spying activities including monitoring her personal communications. The resounding snub sent President Obama, whose international stature is evaporating as quickly as his domestic approval, scrambling to the phone to mollify her. White House officials said the US President told Rousseff that he ''understands and regrets the concerns (that) disclosures of alleged US intelligence activities have generated in Brazil'' and made clear that he is committed to working together with the Brazilian President and her government in diplomatic channels "to move beyond this issue as a source of tension" in the bilateral relationship. NCTexan
Public masturbation not a crime: Swedish court 12 Sep 2013, 15:13A man who openly masturbated on a Stockholm beach has been acquitted of sexual assault in court after it was ruled he was not targeting a specific person, with the prosecutor saying it's "okay" to play with yourself in public. As a fan of international law... Obama should feel releived that his performances (every time he steps in front of a microphone) are sanctioned in Sweden. righteousmomma
WOW, could not believe the video of Morning Joe. They actually criticized dear leader and Joe actually defended George W in a "what if" type of way and corrected and even criticized Mika Brezinski. who looked like she was ready to cry. Thanks, Valin for the video.

SrWoodchuck
@Casino67 Strange juxtaposition of covers......the one that censors it's cover, keeping the worst pResident ever from embarrassment.....versus a picture of a thug from the country being arguably the most repressive & dictatorial. We have fallen a long way into darkness.

Valin
The Ricochet Podcast Episode 182: The Limbaugh Lecture This week, two giants grace us with their presence and wisdom. First the great Norman Podhoretz (or as we like to call him, "The Podfather") stops by to talk about Syria and the Obama Administration's fumbling toward a resolution. Then, our old friend, David Limbaugh, joins to school us on the fundamentals of the conservative movement. Bracing! Forward to the 40 min. mark. It's all good, but David is awesome. SrWoodchuck
Losing Men Good read. @Rheo History has usually favored the male over the female in socio-political & cultural life.....Muslims still live in that framework [7th Century.] I think they're correct that from the 70's....it all began to change.....maybe when the "pill" changed sexual & reproductive dynamics........and then abortion became accepted, for those that were irresponsible. I have noticed that many commercials today.....not all, but a greater majority....are based on the "stupid man" concept and how he must be taught "right-think" or be punished for his stupidity. Most are humorous....but we often mean what we say in jest. Society enjoys lampooning certain people & the focus is on changing the dynamic of control in relationships. It's more sinister than Jerry Seinfelds having and keeping "hand." [as in upper hand] A good relationship doesn't seek over-whelming control, but common, loving & non-coerced agreement. Sometimes it's hard to do that, as we all have a gazillion factors that enter into it. The most important virtue [iMO] is the ability to be able to surrender control, followed by being able to defend your argument with a loving heart.
