Hey you guys... wanna get in on the ground floor of a great business opportunity?.

 

I'm thinking about printing up some "Justice for SHAALIVER" tee shirts.

 

It's pretty certain that Rev Al will be stoking the fires and this is a can't miss sales opportunity.

 

 

An armed 14-year-old with a violent rap sheet was shot dead in The Bronx yesterday by a cop who had been on the job for less than a month, officials said.

Surveillance video shows Shaaliver Douse, a suspected gang member, chasing and shooting at a young rival on Courtlandt Avenue near East 151st Street just before 3 a.m., police said.

Two rookie cops on patrol heard the gunfire and ran over.

The officers, both in uniform with weapons drawn, ordered Douse to drop his gun after he fired three shots at his foe, police said.

Douse fired again, and the bullet hit a building on the side of the street where the cops were. Douse’s rival was on the other side of the street, officials said.One of the cops then fired a single shot, hitting Douse in the head through his jaw. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police recovered a blood-spattered Astra A-100 9mm semiautomatic handgun, which they said was Douse’s, at the scene.Scissors-32x32.png

“There was no gun. It’s all a cover-up. It’s what the police do. They kill us and cover it up,” said his aunt, Quwana Barcene.

Given the coverage as of late, the general media consensus seems to be that it’s not even remotely too early to be talking about the 2016 presidential election. I say, great! That means it’s just about time for eager beavers to start thinking about 2020. And as far as I can tell, there’s only one person who has been vocal about eyeing a White House bid in the cycle after next: everyone’s favorite good neighbor, Adam Kokesh. Just one technical difficulty: He’s in jail.

Googling Adam Kokesh is like falling down an Alice-in-Wonderland wormhole — or it would be, if that tale had been written by Murray Rothbard and Sid Vicious. One minute you’re peacefully reading a story from the news agency Russia Today on Kokesh’s 2020 ambitions, and the next you’ve got some metal band called Rebel Inc. playing a song called “A Time to Kill.” Rebel Inc. is giving away copies of its CD as prizes for people who make the best YouTube videos on why Kokesh should be let out on bail.

* Perhaps the strangest element of all of this, though, is that the whole thing looks pretty profitable — a veritable cottage industry of anarcho-paranoia. In the same way that Alex Jones preaches against the dangers of fluoride in water and also sells filtration systems to remove said fluoride, Kokesh shills a variety of T-shirts (one says “IF THE TROOPS DEFENDED FREEDOM THEY’D ATTACK THE GOVERNMENT” and another says “Being offended is F***ING BULLSH**”; no asterisks in the original). Speaking at Police Headquarters, NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly dismissed suggestions that the cops should have wounded the boy instead of killing him.

“You shoot to stop. You can’t shoot to wound. That only happens in Western movies,” Kelly said.

Feds Are Suspects in New Malware That Attacks Tor Anonymity http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2013/08/freedom-hosting/

 

Security researchers tonight are poring over a piece of malicious software that takes advantage of a Firefox security vulnerability to identify some users of the privacy-protecting Tor anonymity network.

 

The malware showed up Sunday morning on multiple websites hosted by the anonymous hosting company Freedom Hosting. That would normally be considered a blatantly criminal “drive-by” hack attack, but nobody’s calling in the FBI this time. The FBI is the prime suspect.

 

“It just sends identifying information to some IP in Reston, Virginia,” says reverse-engineer Vlad Tsyrklevich. “It’s pretty clear that it’s FBI or it’s some other law enforcement agency that’s U.S.-based.”

 

If Tsrklevich and other researchers are right, the code is likely the first sample captured in the wild of the FBI’s “computer and internet protocol address verifier,” or CIPAV, the law enforcement spyware first reported by WIRED in 2007.

 

Court documents and FBI files released under the FOIA have described the CIPAV as software the FBI can deliver through a browser exploit to gather information from the target’s machine and send it to an FBI server in Virginia. The FBI has been using the CIPAV since 2002 against hackers, online sexual predators, extortionists, and others, primarily to identify suspects who are disguising their location using proxy servers or anonymity services, like Tor.

 

The code has been used sparingly in the past, which kept it from leaking out and being analyzed or added to anti-virus databases.

Bezos buys the Washington Post for $250 million

 

The Amazon chief executive spends his own money to buy one of the nation’s most prestigious news publications.

Amazon.com Chief Executive Jeff Bezos has agreed to buy the Washington Post for $250 million in cash, according to a news article on the Washington Post website.

 

The acquisition will be Bezos’ personally, and includes no money from Amazon. Bezos will buy the publicly traded Washington Post Co., taking it private. The deal is expected to close in 60 days.

 

In a letter to the Post staff, Bezos, who has no journalism background, sought to allay the potential apprehension among the staff.

 

“[L]et me start with something critical,” Bezos wrote. “The values of The Post do not need changing. The paper’s duty will remain to its readers and not to the private interests of its owners. We will continue to follow the truth wherever it leads, and we’ll work hard not to make mistakes.”

 

Through an Amazon spokesman, Bezos declined an interview request.

Jihadists in Egypt’s lawless Sinai Peninsula are using U.S. weapons to carry out attacks against the temporary government in the wake of the military’s ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, according to the embattled nation’s Interior Ministry.

 

The government office posted an official statement on its Facebook page along with images of an exploded missile that hit the third floor of a building in the city of el-Arish last week. The post said terrorist forces targeted the North Sinai Security Directorate office with a ballistic missile that struck the third floor facade of the building, leaving three soldiers injured. While attacks in the Sinai, which borders Gaza and is a haven for terrorist activity, have become commonplace, the prospect that militants have U.S. weapons typically fired from helicopters at their disposal is especially alarming.

 

Three photos of the missile posted by the government agency shows that it appears to be an AGM-114F with a label written in English and the letters “U.S.” stenciled on the side.

Evil Black Cars - It's time for a federal ban on these Killer "Assault Vehicles"

 

I can't believe these man-killing black cars are still legal. We need some common-sense legislation. Mind you, I'm not for banning all cars. I'm a sportsman and I own a sports car as do many Americans, but there is no reason any civilian NEEDS a black car. (Government black cars would be okay.)

 

if we can't agree to ban all black cars can't we at LEAST agree to limit the seating capacity?

 

We need to address America's dangerous "car culture" at an early age.

 

I'm sure that the killer started off playing with something innocent looking like this as a kid. That's when the "car" thing started to take over his baser instincts.

President Bush Doing Well after Heart Surgery

President George W. Bush underwent a successful coronary-stent procedure today in at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, one day after doctors found a blockage in an artery during his annual physical.

 

Bush is expected to leave the hospital tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday; he is said to be in high spirits and eager to return home.
