The man who was shot, Ibragim Todashev, had been interviewed about his connections to the bombing suspects before by the FBI and started out cooperative, NBC sources said. The suspect then went to attack the agent and was shot, the sources said. The suspect is deceased, the FBI said. (Snip) NBC News Oh, boy. Why couldn't he have shot him in the arm or the leg? Michelle Said to be Considering an Extended Vacation With scandal swirling about the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama may be considering an extended exit from Washington this summer, fleeing for weeks to the Obamas’ traditional summer haven, Martha’s Vineyard. According to the Boston Globe, “Michelle Obama and the children may be on the island for an extended period.” But the president would hardly be suffering by comparison. He may come up on weekends and then stay for two weeks at the end of the summer, the Globe reports. It appears Michelle may be skipping her usual spring excursion overseas, which in the past has included stops at a luxury resort in Spain and in South Africa. The mainstream corporate media, which for five years have gone about their business as if they were Obama zombies, seem to be awakening from their stupor with a zombie-like appetite for the brains and entrails of certain government functionaries in the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice… and perhaps President Barack Obama himself. The question is: What suddenly aroused them? Have revelations that Obama’s DOJ has targeted reporters and their sources with overreaching and possible illegal surveillance — including threatening to charge one talking head as a co-conspirator for reporting on an Obama scandal — finally awakened the media to the fact that Obama’s modus operandi is as a Stalinesque thugocrat who has used the force of government to target certain members of the press, conservatives and whistle-blowers? Or have the world’s elite sent the message down the line that Obama has broken the unwritten law and unleashed the media to remove Obama from power? A free press is essential in a republic. Its job is to serve as a check on government actions and to keep the general public informed about what its representatives are doing or not doing. But the press has not been “free” for some time, and that’s why we’re losing the republic. Thirty years ago, some 50 companies controlled 90 percent of the media in America. Now it’s owned lock, stock and barrel by six media giants. The messages we receive from the MSM are tightly controlled and designed to maintain the false right/left paradigm. That’s why it’s difficult to believe the media are now awake and agitated because they’re suddenly aware of growing tyranny under a corrupt Obama Administration. Something else, it seems, is afoot.
