Draggingtree Posted January 16, 2013 Share Posted January 16, 2013 Texas Goulash 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef 1 onion, chopped 2 or 3 tablespoons chili power 2 cans tomato sauce Salt and pepper to taste 2 cups cooked pinto beans, rinsed and drained 1 (8-ounce0 package of spaghetti, broken into small pieces, cooked and drained 2 cups grated longhorn Cheddar cheese Place meat and onion in large skillet. Cook until meat is browned and onion limp. Add the pinto beans and cook and stir until beans are mixed with meat and onion. Add the chili power and mix well. Add the tomato sauce. Add a little bit of water if the sauce is to dry. Taste and correct seasoning and let simmer a few minutes. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix well. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with the graded cheese. Bake at 425 for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned on top Serves 6 – 8 people 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
