Obama-Romney Race May Hinge on 2 Ohio Counties

By Erin McPike - October 26, 2012

CLEVELAND -- If the race for president can be boiled down to two key counties in one key state, then those jurisdictions are Hamilton and Cuyahoga, here in the Buckeye State. Mitt Romney began a three-stop tour of Ohio on Thursday in the former, and President Obama ended a 40-hour blitz of swing states in the latter.

Both campaigns are placing a heavy emphasis on this state as Election Day draws near, but the frequency of Romney’s visits underscore the belief on both sides that he must make up ground quickly to win Ohio’s 18 electoral votes and thus have a shot at the White House. Meanwhile, as the candidates hold big events in the two counties to draw out their bases of support, their running mates are sniffing out votes in less populous areas of the state.

And so it was that Obama staggered into Cleveland near Scissors-32x32.png

Romney Team Goes All-Out in Buckeye State

JANET HOOK

Mitt Romney is making a full-court press to win Ohio and taking a page from George W. Bush's playbook to do so.

Signaling the state is a must-have part of his strategy to win the White House, Mr. Romney and his running mate are returning again and again—Mr. Romney crammed in three appearances Thursday. Romney forces this week are spending more on advertisements in Ohio than in any other state. And they are deploying multiple messages in a state as diverse as the nation.

"We've got to make sure we win here in Ohio, and when we do, we're going to take back the White House," Mr. Romney said at a rally in Worthington, a suburb of Columbus.

President Obama – The Perennial Bullshitter

By: Curt

obama-bullshit.jpg

Via Politico:

“We arrived at the Oval Office for our 45-minute interview … on the morning of October 11th. … As we left the Oval Office, executive editor Eric Bates told Obama that he had asked his six-year-old if there was anything she wanted him to say to the president. … he said, ‘Tell him: You can do it.’ Obama grinned. … ‘You know, kids have good instincts,’ Obama offered. ‘They look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullshitter, I can tell.”’”

Everyone knows after four years just what a “bullshitter” Obama is:

“As president, Barack Obama will close the detention facility at Guantanamo

York: While Romney argues case, Obama urges early voting

Byron York

Chief Political Correspondent

The Washington Examiner

October 25, 2012 | 8:00 pm

WORTHINGTON, Ohio -- As the candidates campaign almost nonstop in this most critical swing state, the presidential race has come down to a battle of two slogans: "Big Change" versus "Vote Early."

"We're going to see big change in November," Mitt Romney said Thursday, speaking to a crowd estimated at 3,100 on an unusually warm October afternoon in this suburb of Columbus. "This is an election about big things."

In contrast, the first thing Barack Obama did when he addressed a significantly bigger crowd -- 9,500 -- at a Dayton park Tuesday was to deliver the admonition: "Vote early. Do it now." Scissors-32x32.png

That's because all white women will vote for Obama, He's going to give them Free Contraceptives and that is all they care about. Debbie Wasserman Schultz says so...and she knows all about how women think, cause she's a Real Woman, not like those fake women we saw at the RNC convention.

If You Can’t Control A Network, Give The Owner’s Wife A Meaningless Diplomatic Post

By: Skook

th6-150x142.jpeg

If you can’t control a news outlet, make the owner’s wife our representative to the UN.

President Obama made a street smart, but cheap underhanded move to control the Spanish television news outlet Univision.

Univision has been highly critical of the Obama/Holder plan to supply Mexican Drug Cartels with military grade weaponry through the notorious and highly illegal gun running scheme called Fast and Furious; an operation that would have brought down an administration except for the unique situation of the president controlling the press and in effect, making a mockery of the First Amendment. Just read that the Obama team is putting up ads in Minnesota. There is suspicion that Wisconsin is lost and Minnesota may be a toss up now.

10 Reasons to Hate Mitt Romney (Liberals Pay Attention)

By: CJ

20Jul

1. Drop-dead, collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura, like every central casting’s #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.

2. Been married to ONE woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

4. Can’t speak in a fake, southern, “black preacher voice” when necessary.

5. Highly intelligent. Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School…and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.Scissors-32x32.png

More Reasons for Liberals to Hate Mitt Romney

By: CJ

26Oct

A few months ago, I gave you ten reasons to hate Mitt Romney. With less than two weeks to go to the elections, I offer you ten more reasons to hate him (if you’re a liberal). Many of these are taken from the book “The Real Romney .”

Reason 11: After Joey O’Donnell, 12, died of cystic fibrosis in 1986, Romney built a playground in his honor. “There he was, with a hammer in his belt, the Mitt nobody sees,” the boy’s father and Romney’s neighbor, Joseph O’Donnell, told Michael Kranish and Scott Helman, authors of The Real Romney. A year later, Joey’s Park needed maintenance. “The next thing I know, my wife calls me up and says, ‘You’re not going to believe this, but Mitt Romney is down with a bunch of Boy Scouts and they’re working on the park.’ . . . He did it for like the next five years, without ever calling to say, ‘We’re doing this,’ without a reporter in tow, not looking for any credit.”

Actual Huffington Post Headline: 'Why Some Women Don't Vote With Their Vaginas'

By Noel Sheppard | October 26, 2012 | 17:03

Can you imagine the outrage if a conservative author wrote an article titled "Why Some Men Don't Vote With Their Penises?"

On Thursday, MSNBC and Huffington Post contributor Keli Goff actually published a piece that she affectionately called "Why Some Women Don't Vote With Their Vaginas":

Just when we all thought Todd Akin was a shoo-in for the award for the dumbest thing said or done in the 2012 election cycle, Richard Mourdock comes out of nowhere to give Akin a run for his money just before Election Day. If only these two could be forced into the political-gaffe equivalent of a dance-off to determine who takes the crown for the biggest, dumbest, most offensive campaign blunder.

After citing Mourdock's recent comments on abortion, and predictably complaining about Republicans including Mitt Romney not disavowing them, Goff continued:

[W]hy is it that despite so many high-profile, heavily covered stories about conservative candidates making offensive, demeaning comments about rape and abortion (or
