The #DNC Is Good For America! #tcot

Posted by John Hitchcock on 2012/09/05

The Democrat National Convention is good for America. There, I said it. And I mean it. The goings on at the Democrat bash will help America understand the Democrat philosophy, and it will not help the Democrats. (By the way, watch that well-known Socialist librarian from New Zealand dance in ecstasy as he quotes Eric Boehlert of the radical Left-wing, George Soros-funded Media Matters declaring the collapse of the TEA Party — in August, 2010. A funny thing happened on the way to the demise of the TEA Party. November, 2010 happened. And Primary season 2012 happened.)

So, how is the Democrat Convention helping the US? First, we have this little number:

Vision of a Texas gone Democratic

Editorial Board

Published: 7:03 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012

There isn't another state as reliably Republican as Texas. Yet at last week's Republican National Convention, that reliability was somewhat taken for granted. The Texas delegation was shunted to the convention's margins and only U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz received major attention.

The accommodations given Texas delegates at this week's Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., weren't any better, but Texas Democrats did not leave feeling unappreciated. As Scissors-32x32.png read more

Democrats Said to End Convention $15 Million Short

By Hans Nichols - Sep 7, 2012 4:44 PM CT

Democrats ended their convention inCharlotte $5 million short of their budget even after being forced to draw down a $10 million line of credit from Duke Energy Corp. (DUK), according to a Democratic Party fundraiser.

That will leave a $15 million bill that eventually will have to be paid by President Barack Obama’s campaign or theDemocratic National Committee, according to the fundraiser, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

The Charlotte Host Committee ended the convention with more than $5 million in immediate obligations and may require a direct cash infusion from the Obama campaign to pay vendors, said the fundraiser.

Bounce!

By Rich Galen • September 10, 2012

Let's don't sound like some dopey pundit on cable TV reading the talking points you got in an email and pretend that Barack Obama did not get a bounce out of his convention.

He did. But not as much as the Barack Obama campaign might have wanted.

On August 27 -- the day the GOP convention was supposed to have started, the RealClearPolitics.com average of national polls had Obama leading Mitt Romney 46.8 percent to 45.7 percent. That is a difference of 1.1 percentage points.

As of last evening, the five national polls that were current showed Obama with a net average advantage of 3.0 percentage points.

Obama got a bounce of 1.9 percentage points, but as snip http://patriotpost.us/opinion/14686

The Blatant Bias With the Wives

By L. Brent Bozell · September 12, 2012

The conventions have come and gone, but as always, the TV network "news" coverage of Tampa and Charlotte demonstrated once again that these people have no intention of trying to be equally positive or equally aggressive with the two major parties. Their obvious, but unstated, agenda is to drag Obama over the finish line to re-election.

Always on pins and needles for his man Obama, NBC anchor Brian Williams told top Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett at the convention season's end that they will need the "tall order" of "nothing but positive coverage" over the next 60 days.

People like Williams will certainly try their hardest. In an interview with Michelle Obama, Williams asked whether a New York Times reporter was correct in saying that her husband is "a proud yet humbled president, a confident yet scarred president, a dreamer mugged by reality." Williams asked Mrs. Obama, "Does that resemble the man you know?"

That's not a softball question. That's a spoon full of baby food. He went snip read more http://patriotpost.us/opinion/14716

The message from both parties is that Americans are disposable

10.09.2012

If political conventions are ranked on a one to ten scale for intelligence, I give the Republican Convention zero and the Democrats one.

How can the United States be a superpower when both political parties are unaware of everything that is happening at home and abroad? Scissors-32x32.png

Why didn't the Republican convention raise the issue about the Obama regime's claim that the executive branch has the power to assassinate US citizens without due process of law? No such power exists in the US Constitution or in US statutory law. This gestapo police state claim exists only as an assertion. Republicans ignored this most important of all issues, because they support it. Scissors-32x32.png

Why didn't the Democrat convention raise the issue that the Republicans took us to wars based on 9/11 assertions without ever conducting an investigation of 9/11? No qualified high-rise architect, structural engineer, physicist, chemist, or national security expert believes a word of the US government's 9/11 story. Neither do the first responders who were on the scene and witnessed and experienced the event. Scissors-32x32.png read more
